  • This is a very nice hiking area! Most trails are well marked with colored arrows. I do recommend that you wear hiking boots or sturdy tennies...not flip flops! The Bent Tree Loop Trail parallels Lake ...  read more »
  • Several trails to choose, from easy to hard. We went toward the waterfall and cave. I guess it had not rained in a while, the water fall was dry. But still a pretty area. Compared to all the other tou...  read more »

  • I was hiking Geocaching 2 mornings it was hot and the park doesn't open till 7:00. There are some great rocky trails along a ledge overlooking the river. These trails go to caves tafonis in the rocks. Only wildlife I saw at the water falls was s lizard. There was no water running these days. Great park well marked trails for quick 2 mile hikes with lots of terrain change
  • Really a fun hike that is close to those downtown or out in the theater area. Keep in mind the walk back up can be strenuous if you go check out the cave and falls. The falls only occurs after a good rain.
  • Lots of fun! Color coded arrows were confusing at times. Was disappointed that there was not a waterfall as pictures showed - when we got to the point of the waterfall, there was a sign which read "waterfall only when there is a downpour". I imagine it would be very muddy and slippery on the trails to get to the waterfall if there was a downpour! All in all, the trails were fun!
  • Beautiful hiking area. From the parking lot there are multiple trails that vary in difficulty. We went with two 5 year olds and ended up hiking about 1.67 miles. In that distance, we were able to see caves, the lake, a waterfall and overhang, grotto, and homestead. Truly a lot to see and a fun way to spend the morning.
  • Great place!! Love it and would recommend it!!!
