  • Disgusting. I literally just left this resort yesterday. We booked it through RCI. My family and I initially requested a handicap accessible room. They did not have that available for us when we checked in. They gave us another room. But this room was totally despicable and outright yucky. Ants all over the kitchen counter. Spider webs in the bedroom and bathroom. Dust on the ceiling fan and crevices of every corner. Moldy green carpet. There were dirty, WET towels on the bathroom floor and sink. Dirty bags of laundry/sheets outside of the door when we first arrived. Oh, my goodness. It was so disgusting that I began to itch after being in there for too long. It reminded me of a Motel 6. This was NOT the resort the pictures show AT ALL. These were the outdated, old, crusty and dilapidated cabins that are just pure hell, AND NOT IN THE PICTURES! I called the front desk. They said, "we can have someone come up and spray the room for you, but we're not sure what time they will be there tonight. And that is not guaranteed." I was not satisfied, so I requested a different room. Then they said, "Well, we are completely booked up. I checked ten times to make sure. I can offer you a re-clean tomorrow morning, but that is not guaranteed." Well, my goodness, lady! What can you guarantee a dissatisfied and offended customer? Nothing whatsoever. So, my family and I checked out, put in for our money to be returned and stayed the night at another Hotel. Worst. Night. Ever.
  • Be warned about the spiders. We checked out two units on July 17th. We were supposed to stay the week. We LEFT!! Both units were completely infested with BROWN RECLUSE SPIDERS! Both units we tried checking into were filthy. These haven't been deep cleaned in months if not years and I mean that. How anyone would expect someone to spend their hard earned money to stay in that filth is beyond me. Ignore the reviews from the people that said this place is clean and nice. They were lucky enough to get a room in the few new condo units up front. By the way they are the ones shown on their website. They don't show you the out dated old units that dominate this entire property. I am a hunter, fisherman, camper and I no way am I scared of spiders. But I wouldn't intentionally put my family in harms way by allowing them to stay in one of these units infested with these spiders. I have the documentation and pictures to prove it. The manager gave us a full refund for our entire week if that tells you anything. I also submitted a complaint with the Taney County Health and Lodging Department. DO NOT STAY AT THIS RESORT IT IS NOT SAFE!
  • Was a lovely resort as Silver Leaf. It was so understaffed in housekeeping that we waited until after the 5 pm check-in for our room. We found both units we rented were filthy, dirty sinks, used plunger still covered in tp, full of spiders, missing linen, etc. Maintenance responded quickly to our other issues. Security didn't answer one night that people partied upstairs until 2 next night they came finally around 3!!! Won't return.
  • I'm going to preface this by saying I still had a good vacation. But the experience at what used to be a great resort was less than mediocre. We had a cabin in the back area. First of all, when we got there almost all of the light bulbs were burnt out. On top of that, the dishes were still dirty, we had to wash them. There was a leak from the ceiling in the bathroom that we had towels under so it wouldn't ruin the floor. We had to call twice about it to have it fixed, and then when they fixed it they put all the towels in a pile in the corner. You only get 4 big towels. We then had to call 3 times to get towels replaced, and they said they would replace them this time but normally it's $8 to replace towels, which is ridiculous. On top of that, they didn't pick up the bag of dirty towels we left! It sat outside for 4 days before it was picked up. The hot tub at the pool by the grill also didn't work. Wasn't hot and didn't have jets or anything. They gave us two sample bottles of shampoo but no conditioner? Also we had no shower curtain, and we were never given one for our stay. Ridiculous. We won't be stating again.
  • This was the second time we stayed in Holiday Hills and I must say the second time was not even close to the same experience. There were spiders EVERYWHERE!! They were in the bed, the kitchen sink, the bathroom, inside the toilet. I called to request towels and I was told we would need to do an exact exchange, so we needed to tell them how many towels we had to exchange. I have stayed in a lot of resorts, but this was the first time we ever had to count the number of towels! Furthermore, we were told we would be charged $8.00 per towel exchange. If there had been a washer and dryer inside the unit, I would have felt this was reasonable. We would have had to drive to the laundry building to wash our towels. The refrigerator was leaking water all over the floor in the kitchen. There was a bird/bird nest above the front door to the unit which I felt bad for the bird, but every time you wanted to enter the unit, the bird would come flying at you. The unit decor, baseboards, etc. appeared not to have been dusted in quite some time, disgusting! No linens were in the closet as the brochure stated. I requested additional dishwasher tablets/toilet paper and trashbags and was told that we would be given, "only enough to get us started" and we would have to purchase additional supplies. The bowls were in the cabinet with what appeared to be cheese crusted on them. We left the dishes cleaner than when we received them. Last time we stayed in a Presidential suite when ownership was still under Silverleaf, and overall was a great experience. Overall, would not stay here again if avoidable.
