Dick's 5 & 10, Branson

4.3
#2 of 23 in Shopping in Branson
Visit Dick's 5 & 10 for a nostalgia, shopping, and a look at interesting items from the past. Walk through the old building to browse more than 175,000 items, including old toys and games, souvenirs, yarn, gadgets, and hard-to-find old candies and treats. You'll find new items, too. Be sure to explore the collections and exhibits on the walls, as well as the autographed aviation prints and baseball Hall of Fame pictures. Don’t forget to look up to see the trains running overhead as you wander through the shop. • If you're visiting Branson, your trip isn't complete without a visit to Dick's 5 & 10 in Old Town. The store is an overload on the senses as they literally have merchandise (on shelves) from the floor to the ceiling. If you are looking for something in particular it would be best to ask one of the workers where you might find it in the store. If you are traveling with kids they'll spot things that you didn't notice (don't worry - all their merchandise is mostly G rated except a couple signs might be PG at worst). They have everything you can think of from herbs and spices to undergarments and bug spray. Kitchen utensils to dyes, games and toys galore, candy, country signs, T-shirts, and more!! There is something that is sure to please everyone from young to old. They also have quite a bit of nostalgic items and candies from yesteryear (but nothing that I could spot that were actually antiques). It's definitely an experience and one that can easily take a good hour out of your day just waking through all the aisles. TIPS: Parking can be a bit of a bear so I would recommend parking at The Landing then walk up to Dick's (WARNING: IT'S A VERY STEEP HILL TO WALK - so if you have people in your group that require canes, wheelchairs, crutches, or have difficulty walking. It might be best to drop them off first). Also many of the aisles inside the store are very narrow and the store is typically very busy throughout the day with people walking inside the store in every which direction. If you don't like tight spaces or people in close proximities this might be one to pass.
  • Very popular place to shop with GREAT items. We picked up a cooking item that we found out later, was missing the recipe booklet. The management was bending over apologizing. They took our contact information and promised to send the booklet as soon as possible. I received a voice message 3 days ago stating they were in fact sending the booklet, which we received today. GREAT PEOPLE!!! Can't wait to visit them again!
  • This store has something for everyone. I love the Sci-fi / comic book characters section. Prices are very affordable. Staff is kind and helpful. When store is busy, it is hard to get through the skinny isles.
  • This is the neatest store I've stopped in. There are a lot of nostalgic items. I could have spent hours in there. Would be an awesome place to buy some Christmas gifts. They have a little bit of everything.
  • Great place to come into if your in Branson. They have alittle bit of everything for everyone. It was great to see things from my childhood that I could share with my kids. It was busy but that just makes you really look around and see what the whole store has to offer. We came in here 2 times while we were in Branson on vacation.
