Where to stay in Branson

Packed with good-value motel rooms, Branson offers decent accommodations at affordable prices even during the height of the tourist season. If you've come to enjoy the views of the Ozarks, look for vacation rental cabins, many of which are available on a nightly basis. A short drive out of town, most two- or three-bedroom cabins offer free Wi-Fi and fully equipped kitchens, along with access to enclosed yards ideal for hosting small parties. To stay in town without breaking the bank, look for mid-range hotels near Highway 76.

  • For a new zoo, its coming along well. Love that you can feed many of the animals. Most areas are a good size for the animals, but the tiger cage is way too small to be humane. I hope they are planning...  more »
  • A wonderful place to visit. Wide variety of animals with personal contact. Granddaughter loved the parakeets the most. Loved the interaction.  more »
  • When we went it was very hot so a lot of the animals were laying around but we expected that. The foot trail is nice but its hard to navigate if you aren't very fit or have bad knees etc. Lots of hill...  more »

  • My family of four had a fantastic time! We definitely got our monies worth for the VIP admission. There was not a dull moment. We were busy with either a live show, guided foot safari, holding animals, bottle feeding or hand feeding animals!!! The staff is amazing and very informative. They never rushed you so you were able to enjoy your encounters. I highly recommend visiting.
  • Wonderful!!!!!!!! Their 65+ acre expansion is nearly ready to open (writing this July 10, 2017). Pricing seems awfully high, but I guess they aren't increasing it post-expansion, so that's great. They do have multiple levels of price, for different activities. I've only ever done just the plain old general admission (~$15 each), and had a wonderful time. Not sure that pricing for "extras" goes along with their Christian, we're here to help the animals philosophy. (~$75 each to hold a sloth.... Well.... A priceless experience for sure, but prohibitive for most folks!!) I do absolutely love love love this little (for now!!!) Zoo! It IS in the Ozarks, so its trĂ©s hilly...... Might be too much for someone with a mobility impairment or heart/lung problems. Could use some more benches in strategic spots!! Current restrooms are not very w/c friendly. Easy to find. Nice helpful staff, in general.
  • Very nice VIP experience, didn't want to give the Joey back after holding it. My daughter loved feeding the sloths. There were other animals to hold and feed with the VIP tickets, a little pricey but great experience. The parakeet house was hilarious, my kids were covered with them when they first went in to feed them. Not very big as zoos go but they are putting in a large addition this year. Plan to spend an hour and a half when you go.
  • Smaller scale zoo. Do not let that steer you away! Marcia and Corey were our encounter staff. I'm sure you will have a great experience regardless which staff member you get. Very unique opportunity to experience many unique animals one on one. Highlight of our trip!
  • We loved our VIP experience at Branson's Promised Land Zoo. We were able to see various animals up-close and even got to hold a baby kangaroo! We were impressed with the number and variety of animals that were on display and enjoyed walking the grounds and seeing each one. You can just purchase zoo admission, which will allow you to walk the property and feed some of the animals, and you can purchase VIP experiences. Among those are close encounters with different animals like sloths, bottle feeding baby goats, cows and even a baby camel, and you can even hold some babies. We got to hold a baby kangaroo and a boa. The staff is extremely nice and knowledgeable... they are happy to answer all of your questions and we had a great time. We will definitely be back.
