  • I grew up in the area, and passed this many, many times but never stopped. In town visiting and decided to stop by. Worth the stop to stretch the legs, great view.  more »
  • This park was near where we were staying, and we stopped by early evening on our way back from dinner. There are a lot of steps up to the observation area, and the view was well worth the climb. It...  more »
  • Very well maintained rustic park built by the Civilian Conservation Corps. You can climb stairs to the viewing platform just below the highest peak. The stairs are rock and do not have a standard...  more »

  • When I think of State Parks, I think of a quiet secluded piece of heaven. This park is right beside a busy highway and the constant droning of big trucks and dump trucks just ruins the experience. It’s a petty cool place to see but not a place I wanted to spend much time at...too much noise from the traffic.
  • Pinnacle Rock State Park is a land of wonder and awe. If you've never been I highly suggest you check it out. They have several hiking trails, a lake, and of course Pinnacle Rock itself. They built an observation deck maybe a decade ago, but one can circumvent that relatively easily and enjoy the entire top. But be wary, the climb itself can be risky and slim. At any rate, stop by and see this natural wonder.
  • Overlook Trail and the other side of Pinnacle Rock...it was absolutely beautiful. Nice activity for the kids.
  • Just a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of life.💯
  • This place is a nice walk. It is a little steep, but it's not a challenging walk ( can be done by a woman on a cane ). From the parking lot the trail to the overlook is on your left by the blocked off paved road. Go up concrete steps in back of parking lot towards rock building. Halfway up steps trail cuts to left. Follow signs and enjoy the view. At the top there is a place where you can jump over hand rail and follow a path on the right to see a small cave. Almost to the top of wooden stairs look right and you will see the well used dirt trail. I do not really recommend to trail around the back side. Its steep and pointless. No good views and it runs from main parking lot to smaller parking lot. It is behind the swings in picnic area.
