  • Loved the geography. Very green compared to other courses nearby. Not wet despite much rain. Nice greens. Pretty course and nice staff. I am not a great golfer but I felt fairly confident on all holes...  read more »
  • Small with somewhat oldish decor. Upside parking easy and onsite, food good and super cheap, tennis courts in poor repair. The outside deck really needs updating.
  • Early tee times, two deer on the first fairway. Eight friends, great weather. The first nine was fine, but a ranger who should have worn a cowboy hat and a six gun, but had no clue about his job ruine...  read more »
  • I play here once / week on the average year round and also travel around to play some of the best private courses in the area. I have also played extensively in CA and PA when I lived there (everywhere from Merion to LaCosta to scratchy places you've never heard of. I'm a perennial 2 handicap and do care about conditioning. I gave this course 4 stars mainly for the quality of the layout which makes you hit every club in the bag with no 2 holes having even a remotely similar look. I get frustrated too when the conditions deteriorate but those times are discrete and they happen and they are remediated. Over the last few years the fairways and tee boxes have improved significantly. The greens aren't fast but you can't have everything. This last winter was an aberration and I haven't played anywhere here in Manatee / Sarasota where the greens are consistantly wonderful other than the Concession where no; I can't afford to be a member. While the lounge is nothing fancy, the cocktails and food are excellent at a fair price and there is not one mean or inattentive individual on staff. If you bring a great attitude they'll show you a great time. As my old pro used to say, great players adjust to the conditions and can be successful anywhere. In addition I believe that great times are had according to the company you keep. I have a great group of friends and playing partners so I always enjoy my times here (regardless of the quality of my play.) Eat, sleep, golf!
  • I play this course mostly in the off season. I love the layout and the staff. I am always treated nicely and taken care off. Yes, there is repair maintenance the needs to be done since last fall. There are is no reasons to keep someone from going to play at this course. It's still a great challenge and fun course at a reasonable price.
  • Great challenging course that is fair with excellent greens. There is plenty of water & sand on most holes. Each cart has its own GPS. Great summer rates & easy to get tee times. I will definitely play this course again. It's a bargain.
  • Either the previous posts are from the competition or are just trolls. 5/1/16 just played. The course is not in bad shape at all. No, it's not a 4 or 5 star track but it is every bit a 3 or 3.5 course. Like all courses this time of year, it has some burn. The bunkers could use attention but overall it was just fine. A really fun layout and great price point. Staff were friendly. A great layout and fun to play.
  • The only reason I could give this track a 2 star is because it was a nice layout. The downside is the course really needs a lot of work. I don't need a super nice clubhouse but the course has to be kept well for a $55 round at a 1pm tee time. Practice green was 80% dirt and most greens on the course were barely any better. Tons of weeds throughout and just a trashy looking lack of maintenance throughout. Course is maybe worth a $25 afternoon round at best. Highlight is the island green and layout of course. This could have been a nice place if they would spend money to get it back in shape. While I always have fun when I have a chance to get out and play it was disappointing to be charged what they did for what is clearly a last option course if nothing else is available. For this cost you can try Misty Creek, Bent Tree, Rosedale, and a multitude of other courses that will offer a great experience and a course worth the money. I won't be back.
