  • I really enjoyed walking in this park during my recent trip to Anna Maria Island. It took about 20 minutes to drive to the park from Bradenton beach, but longer to get back due to traffic. Go early...  more »
  • The Robinson Preserve is a must-do when in Bradenton! They have a 3 mile hiking trail that is beautiful or you can rent kayaks for $32 for 4 hours. I did both. You need to book the kayaks a day in....  more »
  • Nice nature preserve with land and water trails. What I don’t understand was the various group of individuals out on a nature preserve that have the need to blast music on boom boxes biking on the...  more »
  • Definitely in my Top 3 favorite places locally to walk, jog, bike or kayak. Great by myself because I feel safe and great with the family because we all love it. Robinson's sets the bar high for preserves. Wish there were more just like it. Hoping they continue to set an example, environmentally, for the future! 💙
  • North entrance has a tall observation tower. Restrooms. Nice dirt paths easy for walking and biking. South end has the "nest". Climbing area kids will love. Adults are able to walk around up there too
  • Robinson preserve is an amazing place to relax, get some exercise in and spend some quality time with a loved one. My son and I have spent many an afternoon walking the paths, climbing the tower, and enjoying a picnic all in the company of some gorgeous wildlife! I highly recommend if you've got anywhere from 2 to 8 hours to enjoy.
  • Robinson Preserve is most popular for bicycling - and your don’t need a mountain bike for its even, shell pad paved trails - but I love it for walking and birding. The big loop is long, over 3 miles I think, and it passes through coastal swamp, grasslands, boardwalk, bay front, and tropical palm filled forest. BRING A HAT, THERE IS ALMOST NO SHADE. Or better yet, go in morning or evening. My favorite part is the observation tower. Four full flights of stairs and at the top you’ll get a stellar view of Tampa Bay and the Sunshine Skyway, but I think the more beautiful is behind you - the grasses and trees of the preserve itself. I’ve seen people hiking this trail in wheelchairs. It’s very accessible, even terrain.
  • Our family and dogs loved it!! Super cool walk with many places to stop. Walking through the man groves was the best. The bay was beautiful. For sure going again..
