  • My first trip to Bradenton 4 years ago only had a portion of this walk done. The completion has really changed the area. Great for walking, sitting, kids, separate section for skateboarders, lovely .  more »

  • This is AN awesome place to relax, play, a good walk and watch beautiful sunsets... If I could rate it a ten or higher I would.. I've come here for over six years now and will continue to do so. Anytime of the day or night...
  • A short walk from Main St., my 4 year old son and I love Riverwalk. It's a nice walk along the water with several stops including playground with water park and restrooms, skate park, butterfly gardens and amphitheater, plenty of benches, seats and chaise lounges with umbrellas overlooking the river and even a long dock/pier for fishing. My complaints would be about the playground and water park. The water park is fun for the kids to run around barefoot and in the swimmies but my son and a lot of other kids like to run back and forth from the water area to the playground nextdoor, and though it is nice the playground floor is soft rubber pieces to soften hard falls it gets extremely hot in the sun an there is NO shade in that play area. Last time we went he ran into the playground barefoot from the water and ten seconds later was screaming and crying about the hot playground, his feet were hot to even touch for me and I saw another family with a child who had legitimate burns on their feet from this rubber on the ground. This playground need more shade, or warning signs about running from the water ten feet from the playground to the rubber without shoes on. It completely ruined our last trip, but now I know for next time to bring water shoes/sandals!
  • I loved coming here...very relaxing, safe, great people, kid friendly, phenomenal sunsets. Very clean.
  • Love the river walk, its filled with lots to do playgrounds for the kids a place to play volleyball with the family and much more and a place to fish what gets better then that. It's a great place to bring the family for a quick get a way.
  • I was in the water area for about an hour. The floor of the area I is mistreated (dangerous for children). Apparently they not give maintenance and is extremely slippery. At the time I was there (1 hour) about 10 children fell, including mine. The Administration should clean that area. It is for children and they deserve the best.
