  • Nice collection of buildings from the turn of the 20th century. We enjoyed touring the various buildings, especially the general store.

  • The park has many special events each month.I have been to many programs and never been disappointed. Parking can be a little difficult but the medical center next door is good for overflow.
  • A really cool place to check out! It's a small area but the history is fascinating and they've got some really cool things! Original restored homes, a boathouse, a school and more! Gives a great feel of how things were here in the past! I recommend going upstairs of the store and reading the handwritten letters from the world wars.
  • Fun place to visit great to step back in time.
  • A great free attraction to learn about the history of Manatee County
  • Very nice, well preserved historical park, with many buildings to explore. Most of which aren't completely closed off as most other museums are. You are allowed to touch, feel and explore much of the history contained here. There is even a playground to give kids a break from the history. It's worth mentioning, the entire experience is free of charge. Anticipate this being a 1 to 2 hour historical adventure. One that I highly recommend.
  • Small but packed with a great collection of local artifacts from early days of Manatee County plus an interesting cemetery dating back to civil war days. Gothic Cracker-style house is a good representation of life around late 1800s - early 1900s. Nice place to photograph.
