  • We didn’t really expect to see manatees and in fact didn’t expect to see much exciting but we were looking for a place to stretch out legs. The trails are well maintained. Not a lot of scenery. The la...  more »

  • What a beautiful park, the staff is very friendly (one grumpy lady, but that is just her, she is really a nice person if you look beyond the grumpy exterior. ) the park is kept up perfectly, (i am self contained so I have never been to the bath house) they sell good firewood for $5.00, you can rent bikes and canoes very inexpensively. Great fishing, and bird watching. You see gators as well usally (PLEASE DO NOT FEED THE GATORS ANYTHING! If you do they will have to be killed! Yes killed, they become dangerous if they lose there fear of people. Not only that, but you might be the second course when you run out of whatever your feeding them. Don't be stupid!) I love to go down to the lake and just look at It. There is something that just soothes your heart and soul about it. It is one of my favorite parks. They have nice day use areas as well. I highly recommend this park!
  • A great small cozy state park. Do not be misled by me saying it's small... Beautiful lake manatee has a lot to offer to families and campers alike. Friendly staff as well! Boating is allowed and there are many nice trails and clean restrooms and showers for those who are camping.
  • Really nice sized well kept sites. Some road noise. Some occasional noise from nearby raceway.
  • Awesome spot, water, fire ring, post for clothes line. Which most campsites won't allow. Clean bathhouse, friendly and professional rangers and emplyees, all at a cost of $24. What's not to love?
  • Very pretty "lake", reservoir actually. Hiking trails, boat ramp and kayak launch. Playground and picnic shelter.
