  • The facilities are clean. The Lake is teeming with wildlife. It is truly native Florida. Great camping area!  more »
  • By far, the largest, most secluded campsites in this area (and there are 2 others nearby). Lots of tall trees for shade and plenty of vegetation between you and your neighbor. We had a private walkway...  more »

  • Showers and restrooms were nice. Sites were private with woods between. Was a little far from the beach.
  • If you're looking to get in touch with "real" Florida, this is a great park to do it. plenty of natural flora and fauna, make you feel like you could be hacking your way through the Florida bush, like early settlers or native peoples. Lots of good trails, some nice places to sit and have a picnic if you're so inclined. Be sure to bring bug spray.
  • Fun place to camp. Bathroom facilities were very clean on daily basis. Not much to do outside of walking the trails that outline the campsites and canoe in the lake. Very close to Bradenton motor sports park, so if you don't like the sound of drag races you might want to verify there aren't any events the nights you plan on staying.
  • Great fishing on the lake and on the river. Peace and quite for camping or for taking a swim in the lake. Aligators are not a real problem here but they are around. Excellent place to rest and relax away from the city.
  • Great family place. We had a blast hiking and enjoying the scenery. Dog friendly!
