  • Great Lake front area, gorgeous campsites! Quiet on off season, but still great lakefront area. Great spot to find petosky stones!
  • Stayed during Labor Day and a couple days after. We had to wait for other campers to leave - not sure why park officials hadn't been around to make sure they were gone by the 1:00 check out. Great bea...  more »

  • My wife and I stayed here for a week at the end of July/beginning of August. We loved the park, one of the best we've been to in a long time. It was a short walk to the beach, which was very nice. We enjoyed sitting on the beach and swam each day we were there. The weather was perfect for our stay. The park was really clean, there were workers painting water faucets and others cleaning the showers every day. They also have a camp store witch was fairly well stocked with milk, eggs, etc. My wife and I plan on going back next summer. We came from Southern Indiana to stay here.
  • Great little beach to take your kids. It is a bit rocky in the sand, but that's completely okay. I advise sunscreen. A brand new play area was installed about a month ago.
  • The best state park in Michigan, absolutely gorgeous. Tons to do, beautiful beach with a sparkling clear lake. Lots to do close by to downtown Boyne and Charlevoix, its a can't miss! Been going for about 15 years now, and as you talk with some of the campers you'll find quite a few that have been going many more than that. Terrace and Oak are our favorite to stay in.
  • Always a good place to go camping. Campsites have enough room between one another. Bathrooms are generally clean. Beach is minutes walking from the campsite. Has a nice store on campus for last min needs. Boats will dock on the lake nearby for the day.
  • Great beach! wonderful sand..volleyball net..warmer water than normal..great swimming..no lifeguard but buoys show you the swimming area..swing sets for adults and children..wooded area and good parking..need to have a state park pass for $11 or buy one there to get in..it will get you in all the Michigan state parks FREE ...
