  • I am an art historian, so I may be a bit biased, but the Spiral Jetty is so worth the drive. Sometimes the water level is too high to see Spiral Jetty, but you can look up the water level before you g...  read more »
  • We were travelling through the area on our way from Salt Lake City to Yellowstone. I wanted to see the Salt Lake and am so glad that we chose this as the place at which to see it. Yes, it is a long dr...  read more »
  • I don't mind the 10+ miles of gravel road to get there but the washboard surface really starts to shake your vehicle apart after awhile. The jetty itself is interesting but definitely aimed at those w...  read more »
  • Cool place to go with friends or on a date or even just alone! Worth the drive - beautiful view of a beautiful landscape and piece of art. The Jetty itself is breathtaking, but the pink water of the Great Salt Lake is awe inspiring as well. Would not recommend swimming unless an immediate shower is nearby. Watch out for tar pits and sharp shards of salt embedded in the sand.
  • I've lived here my whole life and never seen something so exquisite! I had done prior research to coming here but I'm so glad I did. It was exceptional and the water levels were low enough so I was able to actually go into the middle of the Jetty and I got some REALLY neat photos which will be on my IG. (@gentlemenpreferbrunettes) definitely glad I was able to experience this beautiful piece of artwork before I move to Texas!
  • The Jetty was good, not as big as you think it is. This year is a great year to go, because it is so low. There are also tar pits just barley before there. The Drive is a little rough, but any two-wheel drive car can go down the road.
  • Noteworthy and paramount earth art work by Robert Smithson. Well worth the drive across unpaved roads. Unfortunately the water level was very low at my time of visit. It would be nice to return when the lake is surrounding the jetty again.
  • Fun place to go see and camp. A long drive just to see for a few minutes, but a great place to spend the night or take photos. There aren't any developed camping spots, but there are somewhat level spots near the parking lot and a quarter mile back at a turn-off.
