  • Yes this was in Kentucky as one of the things done on our 38th state of the 50-State Quest. ((done in August of 1997 not 2016)) We did 3 state parks this year each a little different. This part of our...  more »
  • We where staying in Nashville and saw a flyer in our hotel for this. So we drove a hour and had a pretty good time. One thing to note, is the "river" is pretty small its only maybe the length of 2-3 f...  more »
  • River flowing thru cave, short boat ride added a different flair to usual cave explorations. Nice excursion if in the area, but pales in comparison to nearby Mammoth

  • This was a wonderful experience!!! Beautiful shaded trails, a butterfly habitat, a very creative and unique, large play area for younger kids and to too it all off, a RIVER TOUR THROUGH A CAVE?!?!? The tour guides were not only very informative and fun, but polite and kind as well! I took my mother and 3 year old daughter (my daughter is very much into rocks. She had a blast with everything and did very well on the River cruise as well). The park is not government funded but is maintained by a local group. The ticket sales for the River tour go to help fund the area so everyone can continue to enjoy it :)
  • Visiting from Ohio and we love to kayak. Not allowed to use your own equipment. Their equipment is older and not as nice but the adventure was great! Trip back the cave is short but incredible seeing from that view. The tour guide was excellent! Great knowledge of local history and of cave. We had a great time. Cave is lit well enough to see without headlamp.
  • I remember coming here when I was about 10 years old. The tales of vehicles and swimmers being sucked up by the sinkhole are one of the most imagination inspiring places I've ever been to! Absolutely would visit here again!
  • The cave itself is pretty impressive. The guide is very knowledgeable about both the geological history and any other events that occurred there. However, the tour is really short.
  • A little pricey for the experience, but a great destination. I hope they consider prohibiting cell phone usage from inside the cave. It ruins the cave experience with all of the glowing LCDs.
