Theme Park
Take a thrill ride in Gotham City or cruise in Hurricane Harbor at Six Flags America. If you're an adrenaline seeker, you can ride up toward the sky before spinning, twirling and dropping down at 50 miles per hour. There are also more sedate options for all ages. Kids can ride through the park in a retro, child-sized train. Also a few live shows, with singing and dancing, are suitable for both kids and adults. To make sure you don't miss any must-dos, consult the park map when you arrive and plot out your visit. Put Six Flags America and other Bowie attractions into our Bowie trip itinerary planner, and watch your holiday take shape.

  • The park is fine and there are plenty of roller coasters (9) but what I want to praise Six Flags America for is its security staff and other personnel. My son's iPhone fell out of his pocket on Mind Eraser and we were told by another patron that a kid ran off with it. The staff (including outstanding undercover security) moved into action promptly and helped us retrieve the phone. Way to go Six Flags! I am very pleased with the professionalism of the staff.
  • Nice park, with very fun games. I would say that if you have the opportunity to come when hurricane harbor is open, do it. Why I say that? The thrill rides are good, but you will only find about 5 that are really worth it. So, by having several, really cool, water rides, you can have a great day over there. Tip: if you plan to rent a locker at some point of the day, do it the moment you get to the park because the small ones ($13) become sold out really quick, and after that you will only have the option to rent a bigger one ($15) that will increase its price along the day.
  • Needs more coasters! In summer, this is a great place since the water park is free with admission, but if the water park is closed, there's not much for young adults to do. We were there on a cool Sunday morning this month and were able to ride all the coasters plus 2 other rides in 2 hours.
  • They should be more equipped to handle crowds. Very disorginized had to wait in the 2 longest lines went through one only to be told to go through the 2nd because we were in the wrong line. Went through 2nd then had to go back to 1st which was even longer the 2nd time. Spent more time in line than at the actual park because by the time we got in it was time to leave
  • I hated brcause this woman she kept scaryng on October thae 30 so then she told me stupid and she worked at sixflags
