Your best friend is waiting for you! Volunteer, adopt or just browse. The critters need socialization! Many critters are humanely rescued from other put-down shelters. Jackson Galaxy taught me so..... more »

I took my two babies thinking they would take care of them. They were sisters and they killed one because they only gave her two short days to not be scared and when she had not acclimated in that time they just threw her life away! I'm so disappointed in them. It was hard enough having to surrender them after having them for six years, then they do that! They are definitely NOT a no kill shelter!

i came in to look for an emotional support animal for my dorm the other day, and staff helped me find the perfect fit. i ended up adopting a senior cat named toki, and you would think she’s been an esa her whole life! she is very mellow and was exactly what i needed. very helpful and knowledgeable people here :)

I adopted a tabby kitten here in 1998. They let me interview a number of kittens first. I then selected my kitten. He turned into the most loving cat. I still miss him. I would adopt here again in the future.

Very kind and patient staff. Plenty of dogs to choose from. Got the perfect dog for my elderly mom and dad. It's been awhile since I've seen them smile so much! Thank you for all you do Humane Society of Boulder!
