Where to stay in Boulder

You'll find most of the pricier and more luxurious accommodations in downtown Boulder, but the city offers hotel rooms suitable for every traveler's budget. Stay in the heart of the city if you want quick access to shops and restaurants, but if you're traveling on a limited budget, consider a good value inn a short walk or bicycle ride from downtown. You can also choose to stay in Denver for a wider selection of economical hotels and motels; it's just 30 minutes southeast of Boulder.

  • I was at Folsom Field for the CU Graduation, early in the morning. While it was cold early on, I was glad I had sunscreen. Lots of sunburn around on this day!  more »
  • Partner had an Endurance athlete Summit here. Great Venue. Beautiful and easily accessible. We also looked at Denver University and Colorado State University in Ft. Collins.  more »
  • Folsom field is a very good and versatile facility. The fact that it is right on campus and can be used for more than just football is a plus. The beautiful sandstone finishes make it an architectural...  more »

  • Had a horrible experience this past Saturday at Folsom Field. If you are planning to go there for an event, be prepared to not have access to water or use of a restroom. Their restrooms were absolutely filthy and disgusting. There were not enough vendors with water/beverages. The lines to get water were all at least 20 minutes long. The line to get into the venue was over an hour because they had two (yes only two) people "wanding" everyone for weapons. I understand you want to have security, but this was really upsetting and I ended up getting very sick from the heat and the altitude and there was no access to water or help for the sickness. I would highly recommend that the administrative staff ramp up the appropriate number of security workers to get people through in a more timely manner and have more vendors selling water. Even the line for the gross drinking fountain was 20 minutes long. It was very upsetting. Didn't have the same problem when we saw the same show in Phoenix at the end of May. Step up your game, Folsom Field.
  • I have seen Dead and Company here twice. Beautiful stadium. I also went to school here and always had a blast at the football games.
  • Absolutely breaktaking view of the Flatirons. I would reccomend bringing sunscreen for any event due to the lack of overhead covering, but it's gorgeous here. Plenty of food options during games and easily accessible from on and off campus.
  • I can see the beloved mountains I adore whoooooha! I know there's more but, I only just recently arrived people are still filing in. The show won't be for a little ol' whole...
  • I was a visiting football fan. Parking was tough, every parking lot within walking distance seemed to have "no football parking" signs. Beautiful field and stadium, but had ghetto and really squishy metal bench seats, even with the 50 yard line seats we paid too much for. Sound system was awful, I never heard a single referee announcement and could barely hear/understand other announcements. CU puts on a great show with a cool marching band and their buffalo stampede entrance. Fans were nearly unbearable. I understand cheering load and the occasional arguement between opposite teams but CU was just disrespectful. It was hard to have fun with people constantly cussing us out and at one point I even overheard someone behind us say, "we should follow them out..". And all this when we really try to not be "that visiting fan" who's trying to piss people off. We are going to cheer for our team, and having at least one person say "shut/sit the F down," after every good play we have sucks. Probably won't be back for a game or recommend it to anyone who's not a CU fan.
