Where to stay in Boulder

You'll find most of the pricier and more luxurious accommodations in downtown Boulder, but the city offers hotel rooms suitable for every traveler's budget. Stay in the heart of the city if you want quick access to shops and restaurants, but if you're traveling on a limited budget, consider a good value inn a short walk or bicycle ride from downtown. You can also choose to stay in Denver for a wider selection of economical hotels and motels; it's just 30 minutes southeast of Boulder.

  • Saw a fantastic show about the Sun. Great narration, and the host spent lots of time after explaining the mechanisms of the fantastic digital projection system. The old mechanical system is on display in the lobby. We had a conference reception in the lobby, which was done nicely.
  • We went to the Lady GaGa laser show and had an awesome time. The show was beautiful and entertaining an we highly recommend it. It was a really fun date night for us but could also see it being a lot of fun with a bunch of friends.
  • The show was great my complaint is that the equipment for the outside museum is Very VERY dated and most of the stuff was turned off you would think they would have money to bring it up to speed. It's a place to go 1 and that's about it don't see myself going again any time soon.
  • Fiske to date, remains the only planetarium in North America to have hosted a full dome music festival. It's one of my favorite things about CU.
  • We really enjoyed the informative Bella Gaia show, the imagery was beautiful and provided a great view of the Earth. It was extremely interesting. However, the science talk that accompanied the show was slightly off topic (it was about Mars, not Earth). We will go back for sure, they seem to offer a wide variety of shows which offers something for everyone.
