  • The library is next to the creek, modern imaginative building. There is an art gallery too. And a cafe with windows overlooking the creek.
  • We stopped at the library to look at the art preview for the open studio tours. The woman at the desk-Cindy-was so super nice and told us about some of the local artists and helped us with the gallery...  read more »
  • For a city of only a little over a hundred thousand people, this was a great library! This library makes excellent use of its location, with the main part of the library (the part that contains the ma...  read more »
  • Such a great library. I grew up going to this library. The kids section has been improved majorly since then. The whole boulder library system is phenomenal!
  • I was really excited about the renovation of the children's section. But honestly once it was all done, I was highly disappointed. In a library I am looking for educational games, toys, and activities. Other libraries I've visited are filled with Lego Tables, train tables, puppet show sets, train sets, doll houses, puzzles, lincoln logs, and wall size chalk boards to draw on and even a kids "Market Place" filled with play food and registers for pretend play. one library I went to had a tree house for the kids to climb in and read in, then a slide to get down. It made the library a great place to hang out on a rainy day. This children's library is literally all books and 4 computers (no iPads with educational apps) with a few chairs shaped like alphabet letters and some baby toys.i n fact there's nothing for kids above the age of 2 or 3 to play with. I expected so much more in a newly renovated Library in Boulder. Also, it has a very limited selection of childrens movies and the homeless people outside are scary. I am a resident of Boulder, but now I always take my kids to the Longmont Library, which at least has a huge selection of legos for my 6 and 7 year old to play with.
  • Excellent resources and creative spaces. Love the new art Cinema and Seeds Cafe. My only complaint is that I sometimes feel unsafe walking in due to transients congregating outside. Last time I was there, a man was cursing and screaming at a police officer and causing problems. I would give 5 stars if something could be done about safety issues around the library.
  • Great, airy library with lots of interesting programs. The staff has been super-friendly whenever I've talked to them.
  • I absolutely love this place! It's very high tech, it's so quick and easy to check out books and DVDs, etc. They have an amazing collection and if they don't have it then a partner library has it. Also getting books sent to the Main library from other libraries is so fast. I feel like I should be paying a monthly fee for this service. Everyone is very friendly and they have gluten free options at the cafe, which is amazing and the prices are really good, I was expecting to pay an arm and a leg, but it was super cheap. I absolutely love this library and highly recommend it for anyone who wants anything, they have DVDs on everything from the Reign of Pinochet in Chile to the Vampire Diaries. It's crazy. I love it. Also they have great classes and electronic sources like OverDrive and Hoopla.
