  • Very neat train ride. Rode in the caboose and it was one of the best train rides we've been on. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Will be back here when kids are old enough to ride in the engine! Cool place to check out.
  • Took four of the five kids to this pretty neat train museum! There are trains to ride, most are free. There are a few train cars you can actually go into where they have information set up about the purpose of specific cards. My three boys enjoyed running in and out of the trains and riding on the Boulder City short tour bus. The museum has big expansion plans for the next two years and are looking for certified volunteers that can help restore train cards that are not available for the public to peruse. This includes a dining car that currently only has refrigerators working. They wish to refurbish this car to be able to provide a full dining experience to 48 guests on the tracks.
  • I and my grandkids had the best time:) Thanks To all the staff for the warm fun welcome. My grandson is 5 and Granddaughter 8 It was very fun all smiles. The beautiful volunteer lady at the ticket booth paid it forth and it brought tears to my eyes. Thank you bunches 💛💚💛 We will be back again with more family. Thank you all so much
  • Ride ...the "real" train for a little turnaround at Railroad Pass OR ...the "little" one on grounds for lighter fun BUT DEFINITELY ...the "car" to the Bone Yard. Trains to just look at AND some to get in, see n touch. Great Trained Personal out there too
  • Very educational and interesting to see and learn the history. The train ride is short but a lot of fun.

Where to stay in Boulder City

Staying in one of downtown’s comfortable hotels keeps you close to the town’s stores, restaurants, and museums while on vacation. There are several theme hotels to choose from, reminiscent of Las Vegas’ glitz and playfulness. A motel located on the outskirts of town is often a cheaper option, and will usually provide convenient access to the highway if you are passing through. Many accommodations offer swimming pools, a great way to cool down after a day exploring in the Nevada heat.
