#4 of 101 in Shopping in Massachusetts
Civic Center Arena / Stadium
Home of the National Basketball Association Celtics and National Hockey League Bruins and host of numerous concerts and special events, TD Garden stands as one of Boston's leading entertainment venues. Originally known as the Boston Garden, the revamped arena seats almost 20,000 people and offers three private restaurants, 90 executive suites, and a multimillion-dollar, high-definition scoreboard and replay screen. If you don't have tickets for an event, you can still take a tour on which you will see how the trademark parquet floor is put together for a game, learn about the teams that play, and sit in executive seats. The arena also serves as Boston's northern station for its commuter and regional trains. Where to stay in Boston

To stay close to where most of Boston's tourist action is, book a room at one of the many hotels located downtown, near the center of the city and state governments, businesses, and shopping. For a more affordable option, consider a budget-friendly boutique hotel or small bed and breakfast in one of the city's diverse residential neighborhoods. If you plan to stay longer and need a real home away from home, explore Boston's short-term rental options, which include private villas, waterfront lofts, and luxury apartments scattered across the city's historical districts.

  • Good venue. The acoustics at the concert were good for the structure. I would recommend taking the T or hired transportation into Boston for the next experience.
  • Lets get the negative out of the way. The acoustics are not the best. Traffic is a nightmare. But once your buy that, this is one A class venue. They have smartly put the beer vendors into alcoves so the main concourse is clear. Lots of staff to assist and quick security.
  • I've been here for a Celtics game and a Game of Thrones concert. Both were a lot of fun. Their ability to transform the Garden between events is impressive, and the variety of events hosted ensures that there will be something for everyone
  • Good facilities. Restrooms are kept clean and concession areas are updated. Like that they have screens everywhere so you can keep up with the games if you need to leave your seat. Lines get long during half time and expect to pay a premium on food and drinks.
  • The home of the 2011 Stanley Cup Champions, Boston Bruins!!! There is not a bad seat in the house. I have sat in section 308 upstairs and in the lodge many times. You really can't go wrong at The Garden. Buyer beware, the concession prices are outrageous!!! Happy Travels! Timothy OLA Travel & Leisure "Traveling The World, Together"
