TD Garden, Boston

4.3
Home of the National Basketball Association Celtics and National Hockey League Bruins and host of numerous concerts and special events, TD Garden stands as one of Boston's leading entertainment venues. Originally known as the Boston Garden, the revamped arena seats almost 20,000 people and offers three private restaurants, 90 executive suites, and a multimillion-dollar, high-definition scoreboard and replay screen. If you don't have tickets for an event, you can still take a tour on which you will see how the trademark parquet floor is put together for a game, learn about the teams that play, and sit in executive seats. The arena also serves as Boston's northern station for its commuter and regional trains. With our world travel planner, Boston attractions like TD Garden can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

  • Great venue, place is clean, modern and bright. Plenty of signage and help if you can't find where you need to be. All of the staff from the people who scan your tickets, to security, to the food and ...  more »
  • The group of friends that I was in Boston with (and myself) really enjoy Basketball but had never been to a NBA game so that was our first! I loved it! Despite it not being any of our favorite teams, ...  more »
  • In the heart of the City lies the palazzo where the excellence of Basketball and Hockey are compared. Beautiful Palazzo directly reachable from the train station below.

  • The staff at the Garden is always so friendly and helpful. We were given premium tickets to the Cross Insurance Boardroom and wow! It was great! The food there was spectacular. I eat plant based so I was a little worried but in the premium seats it was not a problem. They had so many super delicious veggie dishes! I wish I could eat so well every day! The view was great and the staff there was excellent. Plus the Bruins won :) I bet those tickets are pricey but they certainly treat you well!
  • Great arena I've been to. Watched a game of the Boston Celtics and it was definitely worth a visit. Quite expensive place for food and drinks like it's usual for arenas but really friendly staff and great atmosphere. I would love to go there again. It's easy to reach with the subway which stops close by at the North Station so you just have to walk about 3 minutes
  • Big deal place. Very, very customer service oriented. Where ever you are, there is a friendly and knowledgeable representative there to offer help. Not an inexpensive place. For Bruins and Celtics games the screen, graphics and lighting are almost overwhelming (you need to overcome the temptation to watch the giant screens instead of the live action). The food, though, is standard stadium fare at best, and the beverages and food are way overpriced. That part of the experience is almost enough to cancel out all the ambiance and fun experiences.
  • I have a bucket list to visit to visit every NBA arena. So far I've only hit up a handful of arenas. This is a quality arena but does need some updating. The seats are in need upgrading, the scoreboard is just average and the soundsystem is a little above average. Just a few negatives but overall the effort the Celtics organization puts into putting on a game / show is 1st class. The fans of a sports organization really add to the overall experience and Celtics fans are great in supporting their team and keeping the atmosphere in the TD Garden super exciting. This is a must visit for any NBA fan.
  • TD Garden was Awesome. It was our first time watching a Celtics Game here. It was an amazing experience for the boys and I but not for my wife. She has vertigo and we had booked seats in section 314 and I didn't realize it was in the back row. She immediately felt light-headed and unbalanced. She tried hard to deal with it but couldn't. She had to go to the bathroom because she felt like vomiting. I'm sure she's not the first person to experience this. I went with my wife to the bottom section of 314 and asked a worker to allow my wife to sit on an empty seat and she was very nice to accept our request as long as nobody else showed up to claim that seat but thankfully nobody did. My wife didn't feel 100% but MUCH better. I'm hoping that they make a note online, for anyone trying to buy tickets all the way up there. Anyone who has vertigo or gets light-headed easily with motion sickness or is afraid of heights, should NOT sit in the top half of the 300 sections. I myself got a little light-headed when I first got there but was able to make it through. It got a little easier the longer I was up there as long as I kept still and wasn't moving around too much. Other than that and having to pay $5.50 for a 20 oz. bottle of soda, it was a great time. My boys LOVED it.
