Prudential Center, Boston

4.2
Prudential Center is a convention center downtown that offers high-end shopping and a variety of dining options. In addition to strolling the shops and enjoying a meal, you can spend some time at the Skywalk Observatory. Take one of the two trolley tours that depart from the facility, or opt for the Boston Ducks tour if you'd like to see the sites as you ride on an amphibious vehicle that drives on land and floats on water. Visit the website to learn about discount cards and other special offers. Stroller and wheelchair rental are available at the center. • Very quiet and no queues. Great 360° views of the city - good to do early on during your visit. Nice on a clear day, you wouldn't see much before the fog and mist lifts. A little expensive but not too...  more »
  • In order to get an excellent (over-)view of Boston, this is the place to go! Don't miss to get the audio-tour (included in the high admission fee), and, if you can afford it, have a lunch or dinner in...  more »

  • As Captain Foghorn told us (he was our tour guide on the Boston Duck tour) you can pay $17 dollars for the observation deck in the Prudential Building, or you can pay $12 for a martini at the "Top of the Hub" restaurant one floor up! That's what we did! Beautiful view, great steaks. I would give it 5 stars except for the meal sides, which were mediocre.
  • Excellent service, amazing views of the city and delicious food. The place is more expensive than the average. For two adults, 3 dishes (including dessert) and a bottle of red wine regular it would be about 200 $. It is ideal for special occasions.
  • Pretty cool experience. I thought it was open air. Instead it was fully enclosed. However, it is also a mini-museum, so there's lots to learn about. We went at night and it was a challenge to see everything.
  • I nice shopping center in Boston. A lot of shops to look at, offering anything from food to clothes to trinkets. Get some good walking in and expect it to be busy. Multiple atm's located throughout and if you get lost ask one of the security officers for directions. Overall the center is clean and well maintained and is a great overall trip.
  • Centrally located near the green line, so be prepared for a lot of visitors, tourists and shoppers. There are some nice stores in here with nearby restaurants (plus Eataly). You'll find a lot of shops here, though definitely not a place you'd want to go to for a quick in and out errand.

Where to stay in Boston

To stay close to where most of Boston's tourist action is, book a room at one of the many hotels located downtown, near the center of the city and state governments, businesses, and shopping. For a more affordable option, consider a budget-friendly boutique hotel or small bed and breakfast in one of the city's diverse residential neighborhoods. If you plan to stay longer and need a real home away from home, explore Boston's short-term rental options, which include private villas, waterfront lofts, and luxury apartments scattered across the city's historical districts.
