  • Do not compare this to the Science Museum in London! It is a good museum with great pieces, but the building seem tired, the installations are in need of an update to bring it to modern times.  more »
  • I've been visiting this museum since I was around 5 years old and I'm now in my mid-thirties. Every single visit has been fun and enjoyable. This museum has something to interest all ages. I love thei...  more »
  • Great place to bring the kids - there's a lot to do for almost every age. The Omni theatre is a must!  more »

  • The Boston Museum of Science is one of the most fun and engaging things you can do with friends or family in the Boston area. Even with two little kids we had a great time looking through the permanent collection and the visiting Leonardo DaVinci exhibit. Also the area with all of the individual about the human body and the modern world were absolutely fascinating to all of us. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the city.
  • This place is really amazing. Lots of fun activities for kids, a really great way to spend a day learning and interacting with science! We watched the lightning show and that alone was worth the price of admission. The only drawback is that it is clearly a place that local schools bring classes to and can be pretty busy and noisy.
  • One of the better museums in Boston. It has something for everyone. Kids and adults. Very hands on. The live presentations are educational. Lightning show is incredible and a must see.
  • Great for family with kids. The Museum's mission is to play a leading role in transforming the nation's relationship with science and technology. I always loved to bring my son here, he has so much fun! We have membership since he was a baby and it's the best money we spent. A lot do kids to play and learn always something happening. 4 stars because the food here isn't good and expensive. You have to pay for parking. Recommended length of visit 2-3 hours.
  • My wife, child and I decided to take our parents here when they all came up to visit. The museum always has something new to offer, even though we visit often we still find something new to look at or try out. If you're not willing to spend a minimum of 4 hours here then you may want to choose a different activity. Sure, you can speed through the MOS in 2hrs however you'll definitely miss some really neat stuff like the lightening show or having a butterfly land on the brim of your hat or so many other cool things. I'd also like to add, that unlike other museums or attractions I've been to, the MOS food court is actually reasonably priced, they had a burrito place there in the past and it was only $8 for a burrito that you'd get from chipotle and their grill is also super tasty. Try out the burger special it usually comes with a decent size burger and your choice of side for only $10. Check out some of their videos online it'll only make you want to visit the place even more. Plus their website has a bunch of info on admission and show times. Have fun sciencing!
