  • A real bargain. I use this as a way to save money but I can see this being an attraction, old school market with the bustle and hustle that reminds me of the markets of south Asia. Fresh quality produ...  more »
  • Cheap fruits and vegetables. Strawberries that I ate, but looks and strawberry is the taste is thin, did not feel very fresh. Recommended for smaller packs because I do not know too much in appearance

  • I have never had so much fun buying produce!!! The selection of produce and fish went on and on. The vendors were entertaining and the bargains plentiful. Next time I'll bring bigger bags.  more »

  • Best place to get produce in the city! Cheaper than any grocery store, and sometimes better quality. Bring your own heavy duty bag, bring small bills, be prepared to weave around and through people. I take the T directly to Haymarket, spend about $15- $20 to completely fill my fridge with fresh produce. In the fall vendors sell fish, which I have not yet purchased but am looking forward to it. Most vendors are friendly and willing to help you, a couple are rude every time I have been there, the more often I have visit the better my experience gets since I can avoid the vendors that I clash with, and learn who is reliable
  • Being from India I just love this place because this reminds me of Indian Street market. Haymarket is basically a farmers market with vegetable and fruit produce. It's open on Friday and Saturday. I find the fruits to be very cheap like we get a box of strawberries for 1$. Vegetables are also reasonable. But the thing is they have less shelf life. Remember that the vendors accept CASH only. It's fun to be in Haymarket :)
  • Cheapest place for veggies in town! Bring lots of $1 and $5 dollar bills, as these green grocers tend to run out of change quickly. Be prepared to bargain, as the already low prices posted are just the starting point. If you don't know what something is, ask! These vendors all personally select what they sell, so you'll get good recipes and info.
  • The produce is fairly fresh. Very low priced for the most part. A great variety of foods, many unusual foods to try as well.
  • Cheap cheap cheap! I’ve never seen produce this cheap. $1 organic strawberries. $2 for a pint of grapes! Bring cash and go around the market before you started picking up produce as some places are cheaper than others. Also try to buy only what you need otherwise you will end up with so much produce. Also check out the halal store near by as I found this place to be pretty cool!

Where to stay in Boston

To stay close to where most of Boston's tourist action is, book a room at one of the many hotels located downtown, near the center of the city and state governments, businesses, and shopping. For a more affordable option, consider a budget-friendly boutique hotel or small bed and breakfast in one of the city's diverse residential neighborhoods. If you plan to stay longer and need a real home away from home, explore Boston's short-term rental options, which include private villas, waterfront lofts, and luxury apartments scattered across the city's historical districts.
