Harpoon Brewery, Boston

(4.5/5 based on 650+ reviews on the web)
See how one of Boston's favorite beer makers, Harpoon Brewery, makes its suds, and sample some of the final products when your tour finishes. If you're less interested in the brewing process, head straight for the long, wooden tables in the beer hall and order a draught and freshly baked pretzel while you take in views of the city. Tours sell out quickly, but tickets are only available for sale on the day of the tour itself, so arrive early to buy tickets for the tour time of your preference. A visit to Harpoon Brewery represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Boston trip itinerary builder to plot your vacation.

  • Although the brewery to catch is rarely on experiments, create Harpoon fine beer. It seemed to us so nice to take a look at at the brewery. That's not so easy. You have to buy tickets on site on the day for the tour, and then come back later for the tour itself. The tickets often prove all sold out at 13:00. They would do well to clarify what the website and tickets for the tours just to sell online. So we have but limited to the Beer Hall. In itself a nice concept, with long tables. However, there are often queues outside and it is in busy and noisy. It is apparently a hot spot for young people in particular who just 21 have passed. The operation is not as smooth and by the noise is hard to understand. On the beer falls as said little to brands, and also the pretzels you can buy there are fresh and tasty. Overall, not really recommended, especially if you take into account that the location in the lively marina district of Boston which is far away and not so easy to reach by public transport.

  • Location is a bit away from the centre but easy enough to get to on public transport. Large bar / seating area that is worth going to even if you don't do a tour. The tours fill up really quickly and ...  more »

  • Great experience. I am not a big beer drinker but still enjoyed the place. Their seasonal flavors are worth the regular detour to the South End.
  • Love the short batch beer choices at the brew hall. Always something new to pick. Terrific annual holiday parties and festivals.
  • I'm not a beer drinker, but enjoyed this place. The tour is $5, and it comes with several tastings. I liked the cider, so it worked out. The pretzels at the main bar are amazing!!
  • Great drinks, the atmosphere is good, and the pretzels are delicious. Only downside is that it can get very crowded, and the wait for a tour can be long.
  • Best brewery in Boston. Harpoon IPA is an all time classic. Many other seasonal and specialty brews are offered in the taproom, some are not available outside of the brewery. If they have the 100 Barrel Series on tap, try it!!
