  • Already the building is impressive and probably 300 years old. Long shelf metres of books at the open area next to the House. In the Interior is tight. Well marked shelves, these traditional Bookstore is filled with an eclectic mix of modern antiques and very 'special features' under the ceiling. You must but bring time (or probably know the holder), to find something special. But the visit fun due to the atmosphere which radiates this bookstore.

  • This was on my bucketlist and totally lived up to the hype. Quaint, amazing location and amazing classics at very good prices! They even have cheap ephemera inside and the people who work here are so ...  more »

  • My wife and I love this place for book browsing! Great place to find books of all genres and the staff is very knowledgeable. The shop owner is also featured on the Antique Roadshow as an Antiquarian Literature Appraiser- he always has so many great stories and pieces for sale. We highly recommend stopping in and checking it out.
  • I love books...I think they don't. If there was any rhyme or reason, it escaped me. No one seemed like they wanted to be there. Books seem abandoned on the shelves or floor to fend for themselves. I haunt a great many used book stores and none has depressed and frustrated me as much as this place. Abandon hope...
  • I went there today for an "appraisal" on a book I own. The book is a rare first edition, and retails on Baumans website for thousands of dollars. They took my book and told me they could give me $300 for it. The book is titled "How to trade in stocks" by Jesse Livermore and is very rare. Aside from trying to rip me off the book store was very pleasant, and quaint. It may be a nice place to buy books but you've been warned about selling them to the store. I was hoping for an accurate appraisal not a back room pawn shop offer...
  • This is a two part bookstore with an outdoor bargain section and an indoor 2 floor bookstore with aisles clearly marked and organized. They have everything from childrens to hobbies. Don't expect to find new bookcase books as this is a very used bookstore but you will come across gems.
  • Best book store in the country whether you want more than you can carry for ten bucks or that super rare first edition. Bar none when it comes to history books. Check out this historical book store.
