  • Tourne Park in Boonton, NJ is truly a park for all seasons. Set among the hills of northern New Jersey, it is a wonderful place to hike, bike, play sports, or have a picnic or BBQ. Remember to bring w...  more »

  • Excellent trails that are great to walk/hike. In all seasons this is a great outdoor place.
  • Great place for a hike. Plenty of parking and the maps provided were a plus. Clean and well blazed trails.
  • I love this park! So many trails to choose from and it's perfectly suited for all sorts of activities. The trails are well marked and it's easy to navigate. I forgot to mention that you can view New York city from the top of the Tourne. Also, there are many grilling sites with some seeing quite private.
  • Great local park. Due to the amount of parking locations around the park you can never really feel secluded. But if you are nervous about being alone in the woods this is a great spot. It's filled with friendly dog walkers year round. Even in the middle of a snow storm you'll find people walking around. It's never quite but it's never crowded either. There is a good mix of rocky singletrack and smooth paths for walking. Not very baby carriage friendly though, it's actual dirt paths. There is a water fountain by the beach access on the Mountain Lakes side. The Tourne Lookout is a nice uphill hike on easy terrain.
  • Great hiking spot located between Denville, Bolton and Mountain Lakes. The main trail loop provides a nice mix of shaded relatively flat trails but with a challenge hill climb at the end (with some nice views at the top). The only downside is that there are a limited number of trails and some trails are not the most interesting. It is a pretty good spot for trail running as well.
