  • Plenty of trails to hike with family, bring the dog. Playground for kids and tables for picnics. Nice view up on top.

  • Climbing to the summit at an easy pace affords one a view of the Manhattan Skyline. An occasional bear, coyote and or red fox sighting is not that unusual.
  • Really enjoyed it here. Well maintained, large parking lots, and lots of nice things to see. This was my first visit, and I took a self-guided hike (using a book you can pick up at the trailhead) along the Wildflower Trail. I can't wait to come back and see this place in late spring / summer. There are signs along the trail with names of plants, as well as numbers that correspond to reading in your booklet as you go. There's over 200 varieties of wildflowers here. It's very informative and, like I said, very well maintained. I carried on from the Wildflower Trail to hike to the top of the Tourne. Nice views all around. It's a quick hike up, but take your time and enjoy it. The short hike is on a constant incline, so while not steep, it'll help you get some cardio in. There's picnic tables at the top if you want to bring lunch up with you. I can't wait to come back in the warmer seasons.
