Decent mall for the area. It has most everything people need in a mall. It is a bit small, but if the weather is bad and you just want to walk around a bit, grab a quick bite and get out of the weathe... read more »
If you love to dress like a hippy and love tie dye EVERYTHING then you will love EVERY single store in this little mall. Not at all for me but it’s just not my taste. Lots of young college students th... read more »
I mean it's a mall, it has some shops, and you can get what ya need. Wish the tj maxx entrance wasn't in a different spot. But it was nice to walk through and spend a little time waiting out the rain.
The mall used to be better until about 15 years ago. It doesn't have the variety of stores that it used to have. Back in the 90's when I was in high school, going to the mall was fun. Besides clothing stores, they had a few small food vendors, a cafeteria, a toy store, a pet store, a music store, a book store and an arcade. There was even a fountain and a small pool with a bridge that you could walk across to toss coins in and make a wish. The fountain, pool and bridge are gone now and was replaced with just open, bare floor. The arcade, book store, music store, pet store, toy store, cafeteria, and all but one of the food vendors are gone as well. They were replaced mostly with more clothing stores, a video game store, nail salon, a small Italian restaurant and a $10 haircut place. The mall is only one level as well. Puny compared to the malls in Hickory and Johnson City.
I love going to smaller town malls when I'm visiting. I usually meet some attractive young ladies that are around my age. I also always stop in the bookstore there. I've found some unique treasures there.
Considering the smaller mtn. town, the Boone Mall is a true Mall. 3 places to eat; Italian (so-so), Panera (the same at every one), and Tuckers (the real star of the show!). Such a good variety. About 30 businesses in the whole place. There is greatest mattress shop in the High Country. Mall staff is easy to find and quite friendly. Not a great place to kill a whole lot of time, but it suites well for an hour or two. Ignore the haters, just have a sense of what it is. A big mall is too busy and overpriced at least here are many satisfied customers.
So small. The staff always acts like your trying to get away with taking things. Only reason I go is for a few if the restrurants. They are fantastic.
This mall is depressing. There is no atmosphere inside this mall. Peeling paint, broken light bulbs, generally ugly decor. The place needs some sort of resuscitation.
