  • I camped for the weekend with a group of friends. We had pull through site on the edge of the camp that boarders the big river. Sites are not right on top of each other and the access to the river fro...  read more »

  • Just spent the weekend there. I was very happy with our experience. Campsite was nice and not clustered too close to neighbors. River access was convenient. Trails were a nice change of pace. And, after all those activities, the shower in the bathhouse was amazing. Make sure you bring a heavy duty extension cord if you get an electrical site. The power boxes are likely placed for RVs and we had a tent. Fortunately, we also had a long extension cord. Park access closes at 10pm every night, so get back in time. Park staff were all friendly. :)
  • Clean, spacious and average state park. Worth checking out if time permits. Trails are great, river isn't worth the time objectively because so many great rivers are relatively close.
  • St Fran is a beautiful little park. Very green. :-) campground is nice, river is nice. Some of my favorite trails in the system. Deer in the camp area make it even more peaceful. That said- maintenance is needed on the roads and facilities. Its a busier park for the area and I'm surprised to see potholes in the main roads...
  • I've been going here since i was little. Now as an adult this is where my husband and I go. Its always clean and the host are very friendly. We just got back today from a 2 day trip. There are hiking trails. there are different trails that lead to the river from the campsites or you can drive. We love it and its only about an hour drive for us.
  • A scenic state park. Hiked the Mooners Hollow Trail. The trail was lush green and you cross the creek at several instances. Make sure you follow the signs for the trail. (Blue blaze trail)
