  • I frequently visit this park to exercise in a relaxing, beautiful place. Hiking, horse trails, biking, picnicking, and plenty of swimming holes without overcrowding.
  • Been through there several times, but never camped there, just always wanted to. Very beautiful in the late fall. Quiet.
  • I love this park. It is one of my favorite MO state parks. It is a lovely campground, and some of the sites are very big, and back up to the woods. The Big River runs behind the campground, and is nic...  more »

  • Beautiful, shady campground. RV sites are spacious. We stayed here for a couple of weeks. Several good trails in the park for running or hiking, including a nice one behind the campground. We used this park as a base camp for exploring other trails in the area. Lots of interesting places in this part of MO. The campground will close if water levels get too high during a flooding event. Great place for groups and family outings.
  • I've been going here since i was little. Now as an adult this is where my husband and I go. Its always clean and the host are very friendly. We just got back today from a 2 day trip. There are hiking trails. there are different trails that lead to the river from the campsites or you can drive. We love it and its only about an hour drive for us.
  • I love this park. The host are always very friendly and attractive. The sites are clean and the reatrooms/showers available. The river is beautiful.
  • Beautiful park that offers hiking, biking, fishing, and camping! Easy access to the Big River where you can play in the water (at your own risk) to beat the summer heat! This park even features a baseball field for all kinds of fun!
  • Just spent the weekend there. I was very happy with our experience. Campsite was nice and not clustered too close to neighbors. River access was convenient. Trails were a nice change of pace. And, after all those activities, the shower in the bathhouse was amazing. Make sure you bring a heavy duty extension cord if you get an electrical site. The power boxes are likely placed for RVs and we had a tent. Fortunately, we also had a long extension cord. Park access closes at 10pm every night, so get back in time. Park staff were all friendly. :)
