Decent fishing, very clean, friendly staff. I would recommend this place for a family outing or just going to fish
When your riding and you'd like to ride through the park for a whole 5 minutes it's a travesty to have to pay full price to enter.

I could be just a tad bit bias but I live in the area and consider it mine! It's a lovely place to take the family, get outdoors and enjoy life a bit!
Cute, small park. Great day use area with lots of space. Lake is small enough to see everyone on or around it. Unfortunately the campsites are all on top of one another....feels like camping in the middle of a playground during recess. Good for multiple families looking for an intro to car camping. Not good for those looking for solitude.
Very nice place. We live in Bonham and it is very close for us to go there. The staff is very nice and helpful.
Texas state parks are beautifully maintained. This is no exception. Great place to launch kayaks and fish for sunfish - bluebird day with great fall weather! Paddle boat and canoe rentals available with camp grounds, lake beach volleyball net, picnicking and Barbeque Pits. No gas station near park / must drive 4 miles from park to nearest gas station. Lake is small with little channels but a nice afternoon.
For it fishing and relaxing and the restroms and showers are will kept clean and the Rangers who maintain the parks are very nice (come out and spend a day at the park an you will be hooked to)
