  • It's a small lake, so it stays quiet. Not a lot of people go because it's tent/RV camping and no boats, so it's never crowded. The swim area and beach are nice and clean. It's a great place for a day trip for a picnic and swim since it's a 20 minute drive.
  • Beautiful, small, peaceful park. The park and restrooms were very clean and all the park rangers were friendly and helpful. Will definitely make another trip there.
  • Lots of shade in hackberry ridge (campground). Nice little lake to do some swimming in. Lots of trails for day hikes.
  • The hiking trails are well maintained and have lots of places to rest or have a picnic lunch. I think they are rated moderate to easy so anyone can go. It is a small quaint lake so the trails are not over crowded. Support the State Parks and get out there and hike.
  • Awesome place to take the kids swimming, not so good on the fishing though.
