  • My wife and I started skiing at Bolton when we were in college and fell in love with the place right off the bat. It's close to so many Vermont staples like Burlington, Waterbury & Stowe. It doesn't g...  more »

  • Best mountain for VT locals that are looking for an inexpensive day of skiing. Courteous staff, fair prices and good terrain. I'd recommend this mountain for anyone looking to learn to ski/ride for a fair price. Very good Nordic center as well.
  • Went here for snowboarding for the first time in my life. The people were friendly, and helpful, and overall it was a very pleasant experience. I loved it, and I plan to go back regularly. I've been here a few times this season now, and I can say the people are always pleasant, and helpful, and patient with newbies who don't know much. Visiting here is always a great experience, and the upstairs food is some of the best I've had. The prices for everything feel fair as well, be it food, passes, or equipment care.
  • This cozy little ski area may be small, but that is made up for by the great vibe and community of the place. Much like other challenging ski areas in northern Vermont Bolton Valley is not only family friendly, but offers challenging terrian and good parks.
  • I love Bolton Valley! It's a small quiet resort that doesn't have the funding of the bigger mountains around here but makes up for it with heart. The community is so wonderfully helpful and happy to be there. I learned to ride at Bolton Valley and return as often as possible for hiking in the summer, lifts and skinning in the winter and some biking in the fall. Rooms and services may not be the top of the line but they are certainly adequate and will make you want to get out there on the slopes!
  • Nice mountain for snowboarding and skiing. Friendly staff and trails for all skill levels. The black diamond trails seemed more like blue square level, but that's not a bad thing. Will definitely be going back!
