  • I live in San Diego so we have a wonderful zoo here but I have been to the Boise Zoo twice now (Fall and Spring) and love it. The big zoos are great but this zoo is perfect if you want to go for a qui...  read more »
  • Zoo Boise ID a great place to take the kids year-round! They have a good selection of animals and the enclosures allow you to get close. In the winter it is quiet and peaceful, in the summer it is bus...  read more »
  • The Boise Zoo provided a enjoyable walk and an inexpensive couple hour get away. We toured through all the exhibits and had a great time as a family. It does seem that there are other events at the zo...  read more »
  • Great animal interactions; feed a bear, encounter a giraffe, let a long stick bug crawl on you, pet a hedgehog, and walk around inside the Wallaby exhibit. You can do all of that and more at the Boise Zoo! They also have special events like an overnight Zoo stay, yoga with the animals, and race days for kids. The zoo volunteers are friendly and informative. I love their ZooTeen program, which teaches teens about conservation through volunteering and animal interaction. What an awesome thing for today's generation! I wish my local Zoo had that when I was growing up.
  • One of our favorite spots to go! Moving to Boise a few years ago we had low expectations for the zoo and were completely surprised with how nice it is and the variety of animals. We have taken quite a few of our out-of-town guests, and they all have loved it too. Be sure to go during the hours you can feed a giraffe!
  • For a smaller city like Boise I think they have done a great job at the Boise Zoo. Good selection of animals. I hope they will continue to expand and add educational activities for everyone. The gift shop is great!
  • It's a nice little zoo. Nothing like the size of Seattle or Portland, but when you are taking small children through it doesn't feel like your hiking your way through an African safari on foot either. Lots of great animals to see and you can see it all.
  • Fun place for all ages went here with my school for a couple of hours and managed to see only some of the exhibits. Best time to go is in the morning because its not to warm and you avoid the crowds. The volunteers are friendly and eager to help and the experience overall is just fun.
