  • Love the Falcon talk and education program. Very interesting programs and bird exhibits. Definitely worth the visit!  more »
  • Boise's bird of prey raise birds to be sent to other homes. It is a place to learn your birds and then be a whiz at the next outdoor party as you identify each bird.  more »
  • When I heard that we were going to a “bird exhibit”, I figured it would be one of those side of the road things that just makes you feel sorry for all the animals that they had locked up there. Not th...  more »

  • Curtis provided us with a wonderful tour this morning. I wish I had more time to explore the exhibits near the research library. Well worth the drive and admission. Would be a fantastic place for a school field trip. Was very interested to hear about your high school volunteer program. What a great opportunity you offer to young people. We really do need to increase education about conservation of wildlife and the ecosystem. So interesting to see the condors and to hear about your efforts. I well remember all the news coverage in the eighties. Progress has been slow and hard to believe is has been almost forty years since they were near extinction. What a loss it would be to future generations if these beautiful birds had not been rescued. Thank you to the Sierra Club for organizing the tour! It was a privilege to participate.
  • So informative! Live demonstrations of what raptors are capable of. Knowledgeable staff who love answering your questions. Great museum to see the history of falcons. Wonderful rescue, rehabilitation, and breeding program. I have a whole new appreciation for the work vultures do- seriously save the vultures.
  • This is the Mecca of falconry. The history that is here is amazing and one of a kind. Treat yourself to some knowledge and take a tour of this spot sometime. And make a donation to help save some birds. You can even check their schedule for flight shows!
  • For the price, I didn't feel like the place lived up to the hype. They do have a peregrine falcon that they show you (though they don't allow it to fly around) if you go to the class and they have a nice exhibit for their California condors, but that's about all of the highlights. The rest of their birds (not many) are kept in jail like exhibits that just make you feel sad for them. The "play room" was also very disappointing which is saying something as I have 4 children under 7.
  • Not much here. Lots of stuffed birds and a few show birds. The staff makes up for it by being engaging and informative. Every few minutes starts a new talk or demonstration. Didn't see the staff get stumped even once with all the questions. Definitely worth the stop but don't plan this being an all day adventure. Also no food for sale.
