A tribute to the Basques who migrated to Idaho in the early century. A good way to get to know its culture, folklore and traditions and a source of pride for all Basques. There is a whole street with houses, bars and Museum relating to the Basque diaspora. It is also the Basque Center or Euskal Etxea which is an imitation to an authentic hamlet of wood and in which there is a bar and a spacious living room. The street is decorated with the coats of arms of the Basque provinces, the Lauburu (Basque cross) and paving stones with the names of all Basques who settled in Idaho. You can also see a mural where the story of the Basques in Idaho. This area is the hub every 5 years from the Jaialdi (Basque Festival) in which Basques around the world come together. The next will be held in 2020 and on July 31 day of San Ignacio.

Small museum in the city center and well documented. Many memories. And a shop where you can talk the basque!

Yesterday a group of 18 toured the Basque Cultural Center, Museum and gift shop. Dan was our tour guide and did a excellent job showing us all of the displays, videos and bringing a wealth of information to us. Thank you Dan. We so appreciate your service.

Never heard of the Basques until my visit here in 2003. Contributed so much to the fabric of Idaho.

A Boise historical gem that remains relevant and lively. One of the most impactful moments of my Boise life was watching every 8 to 80 year-old Basque dancing together at the annual Sheepherder's Ball. Step in for a drink or an event. But go frequently.

I always stop by when I'm on the Basque block & free parking is a plus. Basque Museum Gift shop, I always seem to find something I didn't know I needed. Missing Wendy with her Scottish accent too, amazing lady.

Went up for a school field trip, the staff were patient and kind with the kids. Great experience, and very accommodating facility! We probably numbered in the hundreds. Possibly a thousand, and they were able to accommodate most of us there. And for all the kids in the building, Clean restrooms! Great place!
