  • I've been here several times with my family and my kids' field trips. There is so much to learn and the kids love it! Science is awesome and this place makes it fun to learn! I definitely recommend it...  more »
  • The Discovery is very small and modest but meets the expectations of children. Very well organized and with attractions that attract and educate. My kids loved all the activities.

  • Great hands-on exhibits to learn about all things electricity! They had other things, but I got stuck there. Adult night was fun there, with a food truck and beer!
  • Very disappointed. The Discovery Center of Idaho was recently remodeled, and I would not call what they did "improvements". They moved all my favorite exhibits around so I couldn't find them. They also got rid of the pretend grocery store, which is why most families come to the center. My nieces were so sad. After all, the grocery store was the reason we came. When I thought they had relocated the grocery store to another area, I was told that "we did get rid of it, but the shadow room is there now". The shadow room existed before, and somehow they had room for both! So why is it gone? There is no explanation! They also took away one exhibit room, so now there are three instead of four. Bad value for the expensive admission! I was mad that we had to pay $10 each for my tiny two and four year old nieces! Ridiculous! They also have the same exhibits as 5 years ago! They said there was a current exhibit, but I saw no new pieces. My last thing to say is that the "Static Sink" exhibit's towel smelled like puke. Wash your equipment please!
  • Love this place, lots of good memories. They need some new exhibits, my understanding is they plan on doing this soon so cross your fingers
  • What a fun place to take your children, grandchildren and inquisitive adults! We've done birthday parties here (private room with experiments making ice cream out of CO2 and cream) and other private events. Parking can be a little difficult on busy days.
  • Science is always cool, regardless of your age. They are pretty good about changing things up a bit every few months. Play with really big bubbles, robot arms, and circuits. Whisper across the room, be a floating head on the green screen, there is a ton of cool stuff in here. When you are done you can cross the pedestrian bridge, do the paddle boats, play in the park, feed the geese, and then finish up the day at the zoo.
