  • A fun tour of a beautiful cave. The facilities are not as fancy as some other tour caves (like Natural Bridge, for example), but the tour itself is top notch.  more »
  • It was a great tour and a great cave, it's a cave that floods a lot, so obviously there isn't a lot of giant displays like other caves, but it's a great experience to tour a cave with a flashlight!  more »
  • Staff here is super friendly and knowledgeable, the caves are gorgeous! Be ready for a workout though, there are more than 100 steps to access the cave. Going in it isn't too rough, but coming out is ...  more »

  • Our tour guide was awesome - very knowledgeable and just the right amount of humor. We saw bats, frogs, and salamanders. The caves - 5 rooms - were gorgeous and refreshingly cool on a 95 degree summer day. The tours seem to depart every hour on the hour and are about 60 minutes long. Only about 15 people go on each tour so it doesn't feel crowded and you get good photos. There are a lot of steps and the ground can get slick with water. You'll also get dripped on quite a bit but will by no means get soaked. Wear good shoes. Very cool tour!
  • Adventure Tour: 5/5 - Don't miss out on the Adventure Tour! This beginner-friendly tour explores the lower cave that continues from where the regular walking tour ends in the Cathedral room. Greg led us with his great dry humor through deep mud that captures your shoes, freezing water, surprises at every turn and wonder. I suggest doing your research of this great place before visiting 'cause Greg would much rather climb around with you than discuss the geology, history, etc. He is also very friendly and keeps the group safe. It is so fun! Camping: 3/5 - There are spots with electricity, some without electricity, bathrooms, a laundry room and someone you can call at any time. The spots for tent camping are not marked so we were confused where to set up or park. We were also confused why we were the only ones who were not in a RV. People need to get out more... Trails: 1/5 - We hiked the short .5 mile trail leading from the tent camping area at night. It was only marked with a few signs explaining the wildlife and these little colored ribbons that pop up sometimes. I could see how it would be hard to navigate the trail even during the day. Staff: 5/5 - Very friendly, helpful and fun! Price: 3/5 - What I expected. $25 for a tent spot (no electricity, 2 max with $3 for each extra person) & $55 for the Adventure Tour
  • Terrific tour! Guides very friendly and experienced. Neat critters: bats, cascade salamanders, frogs. Very enjoyable.
  • I loved the place. They even let us drink some of the water straight from the cave. This is a memory to keep.
  • I not really a cave exploring person but the fam and I were looking for something to do on a rainy day. I can't say this was an amazing experience but it was worthwhile and interesting in a wholesome way. Our guide was knowledgeable and very patient especially since we had a semi naughty 4 year old with us. The walk is about a mile ( 1/2 mile to and then back). I'd recommend wearing decent shoes for rock and puddles. There are passages of the cave where you'll have to hunch over to walk at a 45 degree angle if you're taller than 5 foot. Overall I'd say it was folksy fun.
