  • This one is definitely different from the rest. They have a rock you can touch, and drink the water from a different area. There's a fault line that runs down the entire cavern. Very cool. Tour guide....  more »

  • The Cascade Caverns is a good cave to visit as it is different from most others in that it is part of some government program which does not allow for any improvements to be made to the cave. Nothing ...  more »

  • My friend and I took three of our sons there and had a blast. Our boys loved the caverns (and of course the gift shop:) We loved getting to drink from the fountain of youth! The tour guide, Lynn Ray, really does a great job. The cave is amazing!
  • Low key tour. Our three year old enjoyed jumping in all the puddles inside the cave. Good thing the camp ground has showers so we could easily rinse off the mud. Guide was very knowledgeable about the fossils that are inside, the nestng bats, and the cave formation. Some crouching and about 150 stairs involved, but overall a mild hike. Tour took about an hour
  • The Caverns get 5 stars because the campground is a nice place to park your RV for a few days rest. It is quiet and peaceful in among the Oak Trees. The owner and his staff that run the place are nice people, helpful and friendly. We did not go down into the Cavern's thus this review is about the campground itself. For the RV we enjoyed our stay. It is not all too far from Boerne, that has plenty of shopping and restaurants. A little further is San Antonio - about 30 minutes tops. If you enjoy nature walks, the Caverns is great for taking walks as well. The campground is too far from town, so consider it a remote location for a fine get away. For Tent Campers - there are plenty of - LONESOME but safe camp areas for you (as we noted when on our walk about the park).
  • We have visit today the cascade cavern, we had the 4PM and me and my family where the only own (just before Labor Day weekend) the tour guide was great and explained everything clearly and true out even for the small group my wife and 2 kids. Also for our daughter from 2 it was a great experience, looking for bats with her received flashlight.
  • We tried to see the caverns but there turned out to be flooding problems in the area. Instead of just turning us away, one of the guides was cool enough to take us down to the mouth of it and tell us as much as he could about the history of the land and the cavern without charging us. We were extremely grateful that he did so because we drove 40 minutes to see it. Overall very nice and informed people!
