  • A must for visitors to learn the history of the island. Lady in gift shop is excellent and the old docks/railway are nearby. 
  • This free museum is on the second floor of the lighthouse and overlooks the state park and beach. A balcony surrounds two sides of the building with benches available to relax and enjoy the view. The ...  more »

  • This was the first lighthouse I ever visited. I had just moved to the central part of the state. I became impatient and drove right to this beauty in 2000. Well worth it...
  • Worth a trip to visit the museum while you're on the island. Interesting displays and photographs of past years. It's fairly crowded at times because of the popularity of the beach right here.
  • We very much enjoyed the lighthouse and the beach. We found beautiful shells and so many shark teeth! I am looking forward to my next trip in July. This beach is a must see.
  • Delightful Surprise! Wonderful views from the wooden platform walkway. Hidden treasure. Worth the drive to the Island. 🚗 🌴 🐚
