Rose Hill Plantation House, Bluffton
(4.6/5 based on 200+ reviews on the web)
Rose Hill Mansion offers historic tours of the antebellum plantation house, a cottage rental and breathtaking wedding ceremony and reception sites that will be remembered for years to come. The live oaks draped in Spanish moss, a grand house built in 1858, and the landscaped acreage surrounding the pre-Civil War house combine to provide a setting of unusual beauty and charm. A honeymoon cottage next to the plantation house is available for rental and provides a perfect setting for privacy and easy access to the many entertainment venues in the area.

Rose Hill Mansion, which is the original plantation home, is located on twelve landscaped acres in the upscale, gated equestrian community, "Rose Hill Plantation." Centrally located, the home is six miles west of the bridge to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, thirty miles from historic Savannah, Georgia, and eighty miles from historic Charleston, South Carolina. Views overlook the polo field, a reflecting pond and the marshes of the Colleton River, abundant with herons and egrets. An expansive lawn with giant live oaks and Spanish moss complete the breathtaking scenery.

  • This was an exceptionally beautiful outdoor venue for the wedding ceremony and the catering was localized, well presented, and delicious. The guest house itself has a bunch of artifacts and an oversized gift shop.
  • It's the hidden gem of the regional clay shooting grounds!! With both a beginner/sub guage and tournament level Sporting Clays courses, FITSC Parcour, trap and skeet fields Rose Hill SC can easily satisfy the clay enthusiast of any level. A very nice group of shooters and staff.
