Ouabache is difficult to spell, but easy to pronounce. Simply say 'Wabash'...just like the river that forms the southwest boundary for the park. This is the French spelling of an Indian word, so don't be surprised to hear some folks call it o-ba-chee.Ouabache State Park is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our custom trip planner, Bluffton Edition.

We just spent 4 days here. It was our first time camping at this state park, and we are so glad we tried it. We were in loop B, and do advise if you are planning on reserving in Loop B to research it ... more »
This is a very clean andwell kept park. We seen a lot of bicycle riders on the roads. They have many play parks for little ones. We did find the bison. They are very small compared to the ones in Yell... more »
Great park and campground. We have done a week long camping trip here the last 3 years. Our girls love visiting the bison! On a downside - last year '2016' the pool was closed during the week for budget reasons and the fire tower was still closed for maintenance. Hopefully in 2017 these will be open. Other than that we enjoy our visits to the park.
Easy to get to, lots of play areas and open spaces. Once the lake is built there should great swimming
The lake is closed for the rest of this season an possibly next. The pool is only open on weekends and has a ton of algae growing in it. There is a charge to enter the park and an additional charge to use the pool. The bison were nowhere to be found and the fire tower is also closed. I am very disappointed in this camp ground that I enjoyed so much in my youth.
Park is great, bathrooms and showers are all new. Kunkle Lake is drained right now to build a beach so no fishing, but the pool is also clean and cool.
Nice and peaceful but they need to clean their pool and they charge a little bit too much or too many things
