Create an itinerary including SEA LIFE at Mall of America
SEA LIFE at Mall of America houses more than 10,000 sea creatures, including sharks, sea turtles, stingrays, jellyfish, octopi, lobsters, and freshwater fish. Many are endangered species that have been rescued and cannot be released into the wild or were born and bred as part of a conservation effort. The many different exhibits, such as Seahorse Kingdom, Jellyfish Discovery, and Ray Lagoon, feature one particular species along with interesting facts about each one. Take a walk through the 91 m (300 ft) clear tunnel that leaves you surrounded by aquarium walls and the creatures living within. The tunnel takes you through four exhibits that are home to green sea turtles, sawfish, sand tiger sharks, paddlefish, and other exotic creatures. Don't miss the rockpool filled with shell creatures, sea urchins, and starfish; you are encouraged to touch them. SEA LIFE at Mall of America is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our , international travel planner Edition.

  • This seemed to be to me like most other aquariums of this type. My husband enjoyed to more because he seemed to recognize some of the species.

  • The aquarium is still the best place for me in the Mall of America! The glass underwater tunnel is the best part of the whole viewing route. You can really feel those fishes swimming around you. I've been here couple years ago. At that time, you can even touch the mantas and stingrays in the final touch area. There also more mantas & stingrays then.... Still, it's a wonderful place for the family fun!!...
  • We went with our son for his 13th birthday and we had a blast. I personally loved the jellyfish. He loved the sharks and everything in the tunnel. I think dad liked the sting Ray's and the touching pond. Another hit was the weather station. My son wants to be a meteorologist when he grows up so it was cool to control it a bit. I would recommend this to any one at any age. I'm definitely going back with some of my family. Bonus is it is in the mall of America. Plenty places to eat after or shop around or just enjoy people watching or window shopping!
  • Sea Life is such a cool aquarium! It is a little more expensive but the money goes to a good cause. It is so neat to walk under the fish and sharks. There's a fun interactive touch pool where kids can touch star fish and anemones. Another cool area is feeding the stingrays with shrimp. My family always enjoys the visit and it is very kid friendly!
  • This very large aquarium is a tour from inside a transparent tunnel that curves around the bottom of the home of many hundreds of creatures. It was a real delight to see all the sea life, turtles, sharks, rays and a host of other interesting fish. The fish looked healthy and they seem to enjoy the tunnel. The sharks and rays passed over and along the tunnel many times to see the people inside! Other fish watched from a short distance, schools of them. Some kept their distance at the other side of the tank, especially the swordfish you can see doing their thing like it was a real ocean. There are also various displays of incredible sea life, smaller hundred or two hundred gallon cylindrical tanks with sea horses and things. These were shocking in their beauty. We brought some grand-kids and they enjoyed everything, including the little reward system for kids. At the beginning of the tour, they receive a card with which they look for stamping levers to emboss the spots on the cards. When they present the stamped card at the end, they receive a little prize. The gift shop at the end was filled with fun stuffed animals and trinkets. All-in-all this was a memorable event, worth doing again!
  • Really fun cool experience for the entire family. They have a well put together indoor aquarium as well as some other attractions. It is just the right amount of walking where little ones could make it through without it being a mission. The sealife they have there is very cool as well they have sharks as well as a good amount of different kind of fish. My favorite part was all the different jellyfish in a room with different colored lights. Would go again no complaints only fun
