  • Wish it were larger but yet a nice little place to visit! It was a short little path with some of the Japanese features. The Water fall wasn't on but yet a nice place for a quiet walk!  more »
  • The garden is beautiful. Period. There are lots of places to sit quietly, take photos and just sit and be still. It can be very busy on some days and perfectly still on others. If you can get there, p...  more »
  • June 19. It rained off and on, but I visited anyway while the fine mist continued. I climbed up the steps beside the waterfall and took the Garden's upper pat over to sit in the round shelter for awhi...  more »
  • I think Japanese gardens just aren't my thing. It's manicured to the point of being uncomfortable and not welcoming. It's beautiful, in a certain light. Seemed very popular with photographers. It is definitely handicap accessible, which is great. But if you are looking to see interested plants, I'd go to the Como Conservatory or Arboretum.
  • So beautiful!!! I love going to this place. Great place for relaxing, reading, taking photographs, feeding the Koi fish, picnics, etc. My kids enjoyed it as well. I recommend checking it out if you haven't already. Awesome!!! πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸŒΏπŸŒΊ
  • This Japanese garden is very well maintained. There is an abundance of beautiful greenery and a water feature (a rocky waterfall). The atmosphere is peaceful, and there is no fee to enter the garden. There are plenty of large koi in the pond that are friendly/social/do not hide. The garden is located on the Normandale Community College campus, so there is plenty of parking. This is a nice area to walk or have a seat and read/write/think, as the garden has benches sprinkled about.
  • This place is truly a lush, beautiful, serene little park. It appears to be in the middle of nowhere but my family of five really enjoyed it.
  • This is one of the hidden gems of Twin Cities area. The Japanese Garden is very well maintained with beautiful landscaping. There were not many people around when we visited and it was really peaceful to sit by the water. Would certainly visit this again! I would recommend following the directions and parking close, or else it would be a lot of walking in the college campus to get to the Japanese Garden.
