  • This is a bit out the way but we were heading South from Utah back to Arizona in direction of Sedona so was on our route. The road to the park is easy to find and our SatNav took us right to the parki...  more »
  • Horseshoe bend as the views recently well covered is impressive but here is like the Snake's head is a macabre fascination. We are free of admission charge from watching, you won't be disappointed!

  • We ended up here as a last resort for a place to stay on our RV trip. There are 9 campsites all first come first served. We rolled in after dark the first week of April and there were still 3 sites available. However it seems like there were 4-5 vehicles farther down the road beyond the sites and nobody gave them any trouble. We didn’t experience any windy conditions. It was only $10 for the night. 4 of the campsites are right on the cliff. The fire pit is literally 15 feet from a 20-30 ft drop. That’s amazing, but beware if you have young children.
  • This place is off the beaten track. We found out about it through people in Bluff and are so glad we did! The drive in has great views across the plateau. But the real show stopper is when you get to the end of the road and walk to the edge. The canyon opens up before you and is carved into fluid curves by the San Juan River that snakes around numerous bends. The canyon orange, purple and grey colours are layered horizontally throughout the rocks and the river is a brilliant green. Well worth a visit!
  • This is not a very well known spot, but you will be glad you take the drive from Natural Bridges National Monument down to Mexican Hat. Not only will you get to drive the gravel switchbacks of Moki Dugway, you will have a chance to take this short drive off the road to Goosenecks State Park, where you will get an impressive view of bends in the San Juan River. The area is desolate and remote, but the view is incredible. You will likely have the viewpoint to yourself. Great views.
  • An amazing landscape, I would say a "must" if you can go. It costs $5 USD, and you can stop here in your way to the Three Bridges Monument, and take the "scenic" route. If you take this route, beware of the longhorns that are loose on open range and the dirt road just on the part that goes up (if you are going north), or down (if you are going south) on the 261. The view is unbelievable though, but don't take the road if you are affraid of heights.
  • Fantastic place, and nearly deserted. Good place for short, easy holes. Nice place to have a picknic lunch. Worth the $5 fee.
