  • Very good day trip! See the mounds, museum and a movie. Very enjoyable day and would recommend it to everyone.  more »
  • There are supposed to be several mounds here, but there's really only one. The rest look like just a roll in the landscape.  more »

  • Interesting place. I visited it several times, bringing some friends to see the Indian mounds. One of them is the biggest mound in the South East. Little is known of the builders who were gone when Columbus landed. The museum is also interesting although the $5.00 fee is a little high considering that you already pay to enter the park. I went there to attend the Indian Festival on October 8, 2016. Is it because I arrived late, it was close to worthless. Nevertheless, there are beautful hiking trail and a nice lake. A good place to take the kids for the day.
  • This park is really well put together. Great facilities! There are all types of camp sites, a couple lakes with swimming, with canoes, kayaks, and paddle boats to rent. Nice hiking trails. Visitor center is new and nice with friendly staff and a park store. The Mounds are all marked on maps and have information plaques at the physical locations. The park staff provides trail maps, park maps, and information brochures for the Mounds among other information. The biggest mound surprised my wife and I with how big it was. All in all great park for a day trip or camping. We will definitely return.
  • Clean, well maintained park. Offers canoeing, hiking, swimming, obviously the mounds, small museum, camping and seasonal events. Don't forget bug spray!
  • Great place for the family nice getaway for camping
  • Nice little day trip. Would be a good place for a picnic, if they allow you to that.
