  • We've been going to KMST for a while and love it. One of our favorite places to camp. We've made many friends for life here. The only negative thing is they really need to cut some trees down before s...  read more »

  • Beautiful campground but the road into the grounds is full of potholes and the campground itself needs work. The site I tried to occupy was so unlevel that I couldn't level my camper without jacking it to a ridiculous height. Dead tree top overhead also. I know it was a holiday weekend but the park personnel wouldn't do anything about the tree or try to level the site with a tractor maybe?? Apparently they do not have any equipment in the park. They couldn't move me because the park was full. Got my money back and left. Sad ending to a trip I was so looking forward to.... hour and a half there and an hour and a half back. Also, need better signage within the campground so you can figure out where your site is. So disappointing. SC State Park system needs to "remodel" the this park and have staff on hand willing to do everything to keep campers on site. $21 per night and the park was full, over 100 sites....where is the money going??? Not for park upkeep, it appears!😞
  • Could be very cool. The staff was less than accomadating. Just wanted my kids to see the trading post. They met me in the parking lot to say the were closed even though I don't think it was quite closing time.
  • Great Campground. Beautiful area with lots of history. Hiking & horse trails but no mountain biking. Very close to Crowder Mountain which has awesome hiking, rock climbing & scenic views!
  • Lots to do here for all ages. The historic village is nice to walk around. We have only visited it when it was empty of people. Lots of good trails. An okay playground in-between the lake and campground.
  • I love to ride my road bike out here. It's beautiful and quiet, with great rolling hills and not much traffic. Plus, it's a great history lesson!
