  • I enjoyed my visit to the museum because of the African collection of pottery. The museum gift shop had multiple artifacts that I purchased to use with my students. I found the museum pleasantly updat...  more »

  • I have been a member of the museum for several years. The collections are very good for such a small town. The museum has interesting programs and I have taken art classes and helped with installation...  more »

  • It has an amazing collection for a municipal art museum. It's collection spans the world as well as centuries and types of art. I most recently spent a day in the Asian section, and plan to return for other sections soon--I may visit the medieval European section next. It has free admittance and parking. It's always a quiet and friendly place with good handicap access and is in a safe location.
  • It's nice and multicultural. I recommend coming. The maturity level needed is kind of high though...
  • Where's all the modern art guys? I enjoyed most of the things you currently offer, but seems there was a little too much "pottery". I'd love more modern art.
  • Love the BMA! It has extensive collections of Asian and American art, not to mention a whole floor of European art spanning the Renaissance to the 19th century. I love the Wedgwood ceramics collection and the Dutch/Flemish paintings the most. We first went in '04 to see an Impressionists exhibit(!), and a few years ago there was a Norman Rockwell exhibit. The gift shop has many unique items too.
  • Very disappointed as I wasn't allowed to bring my child's diaper bag into the museum due to it being a backpack style. I understand there are needs for safety procedures, but I saw several women walk in with very large totes and no one blinked an eye. Your rule makes it terribly inconvenient for parents to even change a diaper. I probably would have been okay if someone would have simply apologized for the inconvience, but instead I was looked at like I was crazy.
