MGM Park is a minor league baseball park in Biloxi, Mississippi. It is the home of the Double-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers, the Biloxi Shuckers of the Southern League. The ballpark opened on June 6, 2015 as the Shuckers played the Mobile BayBears, winning by a score of 5-4. The ballpark has 5,000 fixed seats with room for an additional 800-1,000 fans in berm seating. The Shuckers were originally founded in 1978 as the Nashville Sounds. The team relocated to Alabama and played as the Huntsville Stars from 1985 through 2014.HistoryGround for the ballpark was broken on January 23, 2014, before the Biloxi City Council approved the project. On May 9, 2014, the Biloxi City Council voted unanimously Friday, without public discussion, to cancel its project management contract with Yates Construction. Because of this, the expected completion date of the ballpark was pushed from April 2015 to May 17, 2015. The city originally decided to "separately bid each phase" of construction "rather than drafting specifications for the entire project", but the council instead would “bid the entire project”. Yates Construction was awarded the contract by a 5-2 vote by the Biloxi City Council on July 22, 2014.FeaturesThe stadium layout is organized around the concourse level that wraps around the field and includes concessions, a lounge and a team store. The majority of the seating is located below the concourse level with 12 suites situated above the concourse.

  • Very nice, clean, and well maintained. Restrooms were very clean as well. Good family fun place! Highly recommend.
  • Typically I'm not much of a baseball fan, but I can really get into the Shuckers games at the new MGM baseball field. The size is just right, there is not a bad seat in the house. There are also cute ...  more »
  • Enjoyed my visit to MGM Park to cheer on the Biloxi Shuckers. Easy to find the park, comfortable seating, and family friendly. My first minor league game, won't be my last!

  • The stadium is brand new and an excellent addition to the community. I was worried when it was decided that a stadium was to be built that it would dominate the skyline. However, it is a low profile stadium with plenty of space inside. The seats are comfortable and the food and drinks are excellent, a little pricey but not unreasonable.
  • Hmm...what should I say here...The stadium looked kind of generic for a new construction. Nothing really stood out. The view of the Beau Rivage wasn't impressive at all. Parking was virtually nonexistent except for parking underneath a dark Interstate overpass. Police presence outside the stadium was lacking making it a very unsafe looking environment after a night game. I had to pay $10 to park my car in a small private lot but in order to keep from feeling like my son and I would be a target for a mugging after the game I gladly paid that amount. I guess the thought process was the MGM backed casino across the street wanted you to suck people in to clean them out of money so you could walk to the ballgame. I don't gamble and they weren't going to make a cent off me so if you are the same better get there early and pay the $10 for piece of mind. Highly doubtful I would visit this stadium again except for maybe a day game. I guess if the Beau Rivage was taking odds on me returning for a night game the house might lose.
  • Great fun! Very nice friendly envirment and facilities. Prices are not that bad and great location. Go Shuckers!!
  • Went to my first ever game on may9th. I have to say it was very exciting. I am on oxygen and there was staff people around to help going up and down stairs and even helped to the elevator. I was just so happy and impressed with everything. Looking forward to more games with seat up closer to top by refreshments. Lol
  • Very fun, plenty of between inning entertainment. Great for all ages. Parking can be a problem, arrive early. Lots of great food choices not just hot dogs & cracker jacks... Choices include The Shed, Dipping Dots & other well known local restaurants. Fireworks after every game are a must see!!
