  • Just a great place to be, the landscape is unique and it’ well worth a stop. It’s mostly bluffs and desert type landscape but it’s awesome!!!  more »
  • This spot was closed today but usually when it's open charges 25$ per car. You can pull your car all the way up to the lake. Very cool for camping which we didn't do. Spent 30min enjoying the views.  more »
  • There is no need to pay the entrance to drive down to the shore front to view this rock as it can be seen from the highway unless you want to view it closer. Many rv parked here but there is nothing a...  more »

  • Good fun for the family. You can drive right up to the water and park your RV if you've got one. The water was warm and it's a great shallow entry, so it's good for small kids. Just have to keep an eye out for boats, jet skis, etc. because they are active everywhere.
  • Don't get stuck in the sand. If you venture too far off the beaten path, you will get stuck. Beware of rowdy neighbors. We've had guys singing at the top of their lungs at 2 am before. Yeah, awesome. They were no where close to sober so try working with that. This last time the Ranger did have more of a presence but we didn't see him after checking for generators at 10 pm for quiet time. You can't beat Lake Powell. The water isn't the cleanest in the state but it's a beautiful location. Lone Rock Beach also offers a pretty decent network of ATV trails behind the camping area, if that's your thing. Finding a camping spot can be difficult. Unless you are willing to venture into deeper sand, you might be stacked 2 deep during some of the busy weekends.
  • This place is awesome great place to set up camp especially on a night with a full moon.
  • 100% my favorite place on Earth. The beach is often crowded on weekends, but big enough that it's still fun. Perfect spot to set up a tent or camp in an RV. Most years you can launch your boat from the beach and anchor it in front of your camp. Family friendly place. No hookups for beach camping.
  • A lot of people at Lone Rock. It's probably a good place to fish at night. It's a place where people want to go with their boats and with their four wheelers to play. It can be crowded. Last week there was really no place left to camp except up on the level as you come in. It's cheaper then over at wahweap it's only $7 a night
