  • Even without this place is a must see, but it is magical when you can catch a concert. Great group of people.  more »

  • Lovely little place in Big Sur, close to Nepenthe. $3 dlls to be there and enjoy a hot beverage? Yes. We got to play some table tennis, and bought some shirts. Nice visit, not great. But on of the multiple nice spots Big Sur has.
  • Throw-back to the bygone hippy era where men entrapped young women under the auspices of "free love". This is a neat little encapsulation that we have passed many times without stopping. A pleasant little stopover in Big Sur.
  • I loved the vibe inside the store. Outside was a bit creepy
  • Really charming and rustic bookstore with classic works and books about the area - also often has great live music outdoors!
  • This quiet, shady, out of the way library is a tranquil place to visit. The garden is shadowed by giant redwoods. There was a stall just outside selling tacos when we visited. We didn’t try them but they smelled good. You can make your own tea and coffee in the library/bookshop and there is an honesty box for payment. Worth spending a while here to soak up the Big Sur atmos.
