  • Maybe quirky is a better description than offbeat but you will find the writers of the Beat Generation well represented here. Peculiar art installations line the walk from the parking lot off the PCH ...  more »
  • The library was smaller than I expected, more like a tiny little bookstore with some cool mid-century memorabilia and funky art around the grounds.
  • This museum/library/bookstore features the history and the writing of Henry Miller, a local resident and acclaimed author. The bookstore features readings by local authors and sell their works as well...  more »

  • Didn't know much about miller, but i liked this place a lot. Browsed some literature, took a coffee, and played some pingpong under majestic reedwoods
  • Great little bookstore with a really nice selection. They offer free coffee and you can play ping pong in the park. What more do you want?
  • Friendy vibe, ping pong tournament and great coffe. Nice selection of books too
  • A cozy cabin provides some local authors as well as, of course, Henry Miller. There are occasional shows. Ive seen the Chili Peppers and John Waters here. Take a little hike through the woods in the back, hang out on the grounds and borrow a book. Great place to get away and get some culture.
  • The first thing that grabbed my attention was the smell. Upon entering the library/bookstore, I couldn't help inhaling deeply: the soothing scent is a mixture of the ancient redwoods and the ink on the book pages. The staff was friendly too.
