  • This was an easy hike and easy climb for the views. But really worth it if you are in that part of the park. I wouldn't go there just for that though. The view of the Rio Grande from here is beautiful...  more »
  • This trail starts from the Rio Grande Village Campground, site #18 (which was not easy to find). The short trail is a 0.75 mi/1.2 km loop and goes through a wetland, river, and limestone hill. We did ...  more »
  • Beautiful hike! Easy enough to do with kids and gorgeous views at the top. There's another little offshoot to the hike you can take to go down to the river too.  more »

  • (Warning: Young adults from Central Florida visiting for the week) We purposefully entered this hike with the intention of CAPTURING THE SUNSET- you can see it sink all the way to the horizon. As the sun set, the view behind us of various ledges and hills were cast in an EVER-CHANGING ARRAY OF SHADOWS AND DARK COLORS- very pretty. THE HIKE IS PRETTY EASY along the dusty trails. Most of it is flat until you get to the overlook which seems to be at the top of a hill. We shared the space with about a dozen others yet it NEVER FELT CROWDED up there.
  • I walked this after dark, taking my life into my own hands but the payoff was great, all sorts of creatures, mostly frogs, filling the air with a chorus of river noise.
  • Its an awesome trail with beautiful sceneries and its totally fun to climb the mountain....
