  • Wow is this a desolate campground. It is a parking lot, but does have electricity which is critical in June. Showers are pay, but fine. Didn't realize that some of the visitor centers shut down in the summer, but it does make sense - few people venture here in June.
  • Has most essentials you need for camping and then some. Gasoline is sold out front (unsure about diesel). The place has the only showers in Big Bend. As of June 2015, the cost is $1.50 for 5 minutes and the showers only take quarters. There's a small laundromat (not sure of the cost) and they even had a small selection of craft beer. The place gets 5 stars because...showers.
  • Actually, it was planned to spend here 2 nights. Our first port of call was the kiosk, asking whether it would have enough space for a motor home. Choose we could us the course, only he discourages. At 44 degrees in the shade and asphalt on the square, the first would be left again in the morning after 2 hours, because the air conditioning of temperature was not Mr. This we took to heart and went back out of the Park, because there were no other accommodation for a 25-foot motor home. For the tip and the friendly information with subsequent small degenerate 5 star. The place itself is in the winter only cool, but not beautiful. There are more beautiful places in Texas.
