Big Bear Lake, Big Bear Region

(4.2/5 based on 480+ reviews on the web)
Discover an alpine resort in the heart of Southern California at Big Bear Lake. The lake is a destination for enjoying the peaceful natural setting and taking part in a variety of outdoor activities. The waters provide excellent fishing and sailing opportunities, while the surrounding area is great for hiking and cycling. In the wintertime the hills around the lake offer some of California's best skiing. The adjacent communities offer plenty of shopping, dining, and sightseeing, as well as numerous places to stay. Due to cold water and underwater obstacles, swimming in the lake is not recommended. A visit to Big Bear Lake represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Big Bear Region vacation trip planner to plot your vacation.

  • An excellent place to visit and relax, even just for a few hours, the view is great and the feeling is overwhelming, too bad the water is so low right now; otherwise, one of the best places in Southern California to visit and enjoy
  • I love Big Bear. One of my favorite places to visit and fish. Beautiful views and plenty of stores and restaurants to keep you busy all day long.
